DDR in PE!
|
The PE department at my school is going to have DDR next year!!! But the problem is you get to choose what you want (Music, Art, Or PE) I really like art, but is DDR so fun that I should change to PE???

Hell, I'd go back to high school again if they offered a DDR class. What mix will they offer?

I'm not sure. All I know is that you'll be able to have DDR in P.E. Sounds fun ^.^

we have a DDR club but I guess that's the closest we'll ever get. DDR should be considered PE, good idea. It helps burn fat but I betcha it's too expensive to afford. It'll drive the school's budget to hell. Cheap people will make us run instead and do push ups. =/ |

In creative movement in my school there was DDR, but the mat was a bit too small so it was really hard getting good scores... |

That's awesome! Maybe I should suggest it to the student body... It helps! 1. Keeps people physically fit. 2. Great way to lose weight (or so my cousin says) 3. DDR Freaks get more time to practice. 4. Very cheap, really. You'd need about six platforms, and the teachers would be given the keys. If money is needed to run it, the platforms can be open during lunch and everyone charged at about $.50 per song. |

Yeah, I heard about that. I think they actually considered it for someplace near me...but I'm not sure. Oh well. There's an arcade near my high school with DDR in it, but the DDR has slowly but surely gotten worse and worse for play. They used to have 25 cent DDR, which was awesome, but they took that out, and then they had nothing but 50 cent DDR, which was alright, but now there's one DDR machine and another one called "In The Groove" right next to it, and the people who are on the really super-freaking-high levels for DDR always play on the "In The Groove" machine, and it's just this side of louder than the DDR, so there's really no point in playing it at that arcade anymore..... and that had probably nothing to do with DDR in PE, huh? *sweatdrop*

DDR would be cool in school. Every time wrestling season come I jump on my dance pad and play. It helps with quick feet. |

If they did have DDR in PE I would so own everyone I know. Beats having to run laps around the school and play sports for me. |
Re: DDR in PE!

We actually did that for a while at our school! I was so lucky, I was in the only class that got to do it, because I just happened to be in the same class as a guy who's really good. We brought our own stuff, so there wasn't that problem of bein' cheap. But I have to say, it wasn't as fun as it sounds, really...only a few people played it, and no one new wanted to try it out! Rather sad... |
Re: DDR in PE!

I'd be pretty mad if my former high school said "HAY GUYS! DDR!!!" Because that means they either blew $5k of the taxpayers money for an arcade game, or bought a piece of crap ps2 and did the whole soft pad bit. Which is even more dangerous since the slippage issue. Less lawsuits for schools. I'd much rather spend that money on things that would be more important, like language classes and better remedial math classes. 1+1=/= chair. |
