first of all,I am trully sorry if this is a repeated thread, i've been trying to find out if this kind of thread is already made but i can't find it, so i just make it myself. well, to the topic i think the character with the most dramatic past is naruto because: he doesn't know his parents he has a monster sealed within his body everybody(prior to the series) always scared of him and hated him  |

I would say Sasuke since he had a family at first and then lost them. but i guess it would be better to have had a family than to not have one.   |

- Himura Kenshin goddammit. He started with a tragic beginning, legendary past, another tragic past, then a dramatic ending. He's my man... - Nico Robin and Nami. A very very horrible and sad past... A lot from one piece have a sad past actually, but these two are the worst to me. I mean, they're suffering since they were little girls! - Kurei from Flame of Recca. This guy is also my man - Hisui and Kohaku from Tsukihime - Many in Claymore lost their families and loved ones, the Youma ate them. - Kyon. This guy has a REALLY messed up past it's dramatic if you know what i mean XD |

/highfive Sai But then again the Top Two from my List should be the Maid twins XDD Imagine being Abused since the age of 8, While the other one can only watch.. Sometimes it made me want to kill their master *sigh* - Hisui and Kohaku From Tsukihime - Hakuoro from Utawarerumono - Yuichi, Ayu, Mai, Makoto From Kanon - Kotomi from Clannad - Nanaya Shiki from Tsukihime (Having his entire Clan slaughtered in front of him, If it's not sad then what's it? XDD) - Ciel From Tsukihime (Imagine being Killed by ripping out your Internal organs over and over again Hundreds of times XDD Made me want to puke while reading the manga) - Archer From Fate Stay Night (Repeating the same process Each time For eternity,, kinda Sad for me) - The Girl and the Robot in Dream World of Clannad - Fei and Elhaym (The Infinite Cycle, Both of them will repeat the Tragic story over and over again till the Wave of Existence is destroyed)  |

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni has some pretty grusome pasts in it. From what I recollect, Satoko's parents both fell off a ledge of a cliff and died. Then she and her brother, who went crazy, had to live with their abusive aunt and uncle. And I do mean abusive. That one nurse lady in Higurashi also had it pretty hard. Not going to say much cause I don't want to give too much away but she was in a very abusive orphanage that cause her personality and outlook on life to go a little psycho. Rena was also kind of demented and haunted so that's not so nice either. -__- Along with the others, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. ^^;; |

Gaara (Naruto) - There's a demon inside of him (or was) sealed in him, everyone hated him, and his uncle who he thought loved him tried to kill him. Yeah...I'd say that's sad. Edward and Alphonse Elric (FullMetal Alchemist) - Lost their mom, tried to revive her, end up with Al's body gone and his soul in a metal suit while Ed loses an arm and leg. Very sad, very dramatic.

Very nice, aokame-san. Excellent idea for a thread. Here's my list: -Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop: She was a normal human being, but then comes the horrible space shuttle accident and she's put in cryogenic suspension for 50 years. When she awakes, she has no memory of anything. -Lucy from Elfen Lied: My favorite sad story. She's abandoned by her parents, kept in a institution for orphans, teased every day because of her horns, and deprived of any love and care. Any wonder she becomes what she is? -The girls from Gunslinger Girl: Each one of them has a brutal and horrific past, and are forced to become cyborgs. Some were killed by their own parents, others were sold into slavery while others were simply given away. -Naruto: Need I say more? The first ED makes me cry even now (and I'm a guy!)  --> |

thank you gant-san well, i think i'll take back my word about naruto having the most tragic past, because i see there're other character beside naruto that's even more tragic, here some other character: - nico robin, heck she see her valuable teacher killed in front of her eye - nami, like robin, she see someone even worse, her own (step)mother that she love - hakuoro, imagine when you're awake and find that your wife/love allready cut into pieces - gaara, i agree with ashori. he's like naruto. heck, i think he's even worser. he didn't know that his own mother became a sacrifice for him, and when he's just a few years old his own dad send many assasin to kill him, and worse, his best friend that he really really trust is one of those assasin. man, when i first read in the manga about gaara's past it really creeps me out and nearly make me cry (T_T) |
