I've been told by someone about this, and if you're the thief who did this, I'll have you know, you have a lot of people pissed. What are your ideas and opinions on people who steal covers done by other people? Frankly speaking, I'm appalled. And seriously, not pleased at all. When I saw this girl on Youtube claiming that both my cover of Ryuusei and Himeka's cover of Sakasama no Chou as her own, without giving proper credit, I feel really not pleased. It's fine if you take the song, use it on an AMV you made and give proper credit to the original singer. It is NOT FINE if you take the song, use it on an AMV you made, claim that you sing it and take credit for everything. And the most shocking thing? People on Youtube don't even know the difference D: Which is shocking. But I bet she's not the only one who's done it. I bet a lot of people have ripped covers off people and claiming it's theirs. How do you feel about people stealing other people's covers and taking credit for it? Have you ever been a theft of covers? What is your opinion on this matter? Let's hear it from the forum, please. |

Hmmm... Things like this happen all the time, those who post their original work on the internet should know this as well. If you have no countermeasures against such acts, your original material is always at risk of being stolen. Probably you'll want to learn to do your version of gendowning... Just to make those thieves pay :P |

you could say your name or pseudonym at a part of the song so to identify you sang it~ audio is way harder to edit after all |

Well.. Yeah.. Basically.. Just give her the proof that it's yours... and simply pwn her.. (In which if you Haven't made it in this case, Let this be a lesson that nowadays, Signatures, Trademarks are Really important in a piece of Art...) Well.. Basically.. Everyone Hate Rippers.. Either it's in the form of Gfx, Music, etc. I Wouldn't be happy either if my signature or any other graphic is ripped and claimed as if it's someone else's creation.. That's why I Always put a Signature and my Nickname inside every of my Graphics... And you can always Flag it, right? It's youtube afterall.. Just Provide the necessary Proof and/or argument... (Well.. I'm not sure about this one.. Since I'm not into Youtube that much) |

LOL. I was asking your ideas on the subject of music thieves, but heh, thanks for the advices :) For my problem, it's somewhat solved. Actually, I just felt amused by the audacity of the thief when she claimed that we were lying. I wasn't going to be bothered by her(or them. They were two people sharing an account) judging from the way they responded, they prolly were little kids who ripped it off from Soundclick. I've heard more ridiculous stories from people who were in the situation, and yes, I admit: They're a PITA. |
