She looked over at a her "sister" figure. "Miki-nee-sama" She whispered at the girl staring over at the fire. The girl turned at her. "I found him" Mitsuki's faced lit up aside being in the presance of the fire. "You found him? You really did?" Mitsuki asked the young girl, and in response she recived a nod. "Thank you Lily" She nodded again and then gave the black feather to Mitsuki and then went off into the woods to gather up some more wood. Mitsuki gazed at feather, "After so long I found you" She whispered in the dead of night. The next morning, before they headed off, the two had breakfast and fixed themselves. Mitsuki placed a small purple hairclip into Lily's waist length black hair. "Would you like it in a ponytail?" Lily responded with a shrug. Mitsuki gave a light giggle, "Okay". She started twist Lily's hair into a french braid, and then she secured it with a purple elastic band. Afterwards Lily dressed up into a smiple dress with a design of stripes. And then Mistuki combed her shoulder length sliver hair, and placed a red ribbon. Mitsuki wore a short sleeve white shirt that had a V opening at the top and a black skirt. And soon the two went on their way. They were walking on a path towards a villiage when Mitsuki stopped dead in her tracks. "Miki-nee-sama?" Lily asked quietly. Small tears came from her amber eyes, Lily looked at her with concern. "Miki-nee-sama?" She asked a little louder this time. She kept on repeating Mistuki's name when she just yelled it out catching the attention of four travelers just ahead of them. The four looked back to see Lily shaking Mitsuki's arm. The young girl that was traveling with the three other boys came walking over to the two. "Hello?" Her light brown hair sawyed as she continued walking towards the two. "Are you okay?" She asked when she finally reached there. Mitsuki didn't say anythin, instead she ran towards the three other travelers. She was out of breath she can to them, and in a small whisper she said, "I found you". |

Even though her speed was inhuman, these strange hunters were gaining on her. She didn't even really see them before they suddenly attacked her from behind. Luck would have it, she moved at the right time seeing the sword strike the spot next to her. She glanced back seeing him lift his sword and ran. Cesa contemplated her current predicament. Since they were gaining on her, 'Could they be like me?' Cesa thought to herself, 'If they are... why are they chasing me? Why did they attack me?' For some reason, this bought tears to her eyes but they quickly dried knowing tears would only obscure her vision. She easily avoided obstacles in her path yet it seemed they did also. Even with her strange abilities, she sensed she would not be able to run her way out of her situation. Right now though, it was the only thing she could think of. "Get out of my house you ugly girl! You beast! Only I could be punished by having to take care of such a creature! I bet this was a joke by the village!" Cesa was in a state of confusion. All she could think was 'Why is she mad at me? What did I do wrong.' Earlier that day she had noticed the strange black marking on her inner thigh while bathing. It was small but it resembled an animal, a wolf. She asked Lucy, her caretaker what it was. Lucy instantly stopped rambling about finding a husband, got out of the bath they were sharing and went inside. Cesa would always remember the look Lucy gave her, the look of disgust. Cesa quickly got out of the bath and dried off. She dressed in her simple green dress decorated with yellow flowers that hadn't yet dried from washing. She then followed Lucy inside. That was when the screaming started. That was when she was attacked by random flying objects that she at first couldn't dodge. Most of the things Lucy threw at her were Cesa's only possessions. They all fell to pieces when they hit the wall, shattered when they hit the floor, or caused Cesa to bleed. Cesa couldn't even cry, she was so shocked. 'How could someone change so much?' Lucy used to claim how lucky Cesa was to have such a beautiful face and such pretty black hair reaching her waist. Her eyes of a deep green with specks of yellow were Lucy's favorite thing to brag about, claiming they resembled her grandmothers. 'Am I really ugly Lucy?' Cesa thought, after all, she trusted Lucy. When she first met Lucy she was a kind older women, maybe in her late thirties, unmarried which was most likely because of her deformed face. Despite that, she treated Cesa like a daughter and spoiled her. Cesa was only fifteen when she was introduced to Lucy. "Lucy please, what did I do wrong?" Cesa spoke between the abuse and the screams. Again caught off guard, A glass figurine of a wolf hit Cesa's face, then the wooden floor and immediately shattered. Lucy had just bought it for her yesterday, Cesa didn't have to ask twice. Lucy knew about her fascination with wolves and did not mind. Yet now, this treatment felt like a dream. The pain eventually left her face numb, once she saw Lucy reaching for a metal rod used to help stoke the fires, Cesa instinctively knew to run. At eighteen, three years in Lucy's household, this treatment Cesa tried her hardest to forget. She couldn't forget. These men, Cesa had seen them once or twice passing through the town, only for a few days at a time. 'Could Lucy have sent them? Maybe she wanted her to come back home but why did they have weapons?' Lucy had been running for hours, and she began to notice her pace was slowing. It was only a matter of time before they caught her. Seeing an end to this forest, she found herself on a pathway to a village that was miles away from her own. 'Did I really run this far?' Glancing to her right, she noticed the the mixed group of boys and young girls. More hunters? Cesa was afraid. She dashed forward avoiding nearly colliding with a tree a branch caught her dress and tore it at the side. It slowed her down but she didn't stop. She would run until she died. She wouldn't give up. She couldn't. Lucy taught her never to lose hope, to never surrender despite how hard things may seem. They would eventually get better, or you could die with the happiness of knowing you never succumbed to the common fear of death. Lucy told her that was what kept her going. "Lucy..." Her tears flowed freely slightly washing away the dried blood on her face. It stung her wounds, and reminded her of what Lucy did to her. 'That couldn't have been Lucy,' She tried to believe such thoughts, but she just couldn't. OoC: I hope this is ok o.o Hiiiii! Let me know what you think ;] |

OOC: Not sure if this place is still checked, but here goes . . . I'm gonna use two characters. IC: The landscape flew past beneath her, still only silver-lined shadow in the pale pre-dawn light. Her heart sang as the wind rushed through her hair dusky brown hair, and in her giddiness she did a few loops in the air. The small gold disks on her belt clinked in the wind as she did so. A smile spread across her face. Oh, to be flying again! A baleful call drew her sharply back to reality. Turning to a halt, she hovered as her hawk-sharp eyes sought out a small shape far, far below in the forest . . . Trees rushed by him in a blur of browns and greens as his easy lupine lope carried him easily through the forest. He'd called for her to land moments before, and now he was running again, duxk mauve eyes fixed on the growing dot in the small patches of slate grey sky that peeked through the foliage. He'd been at this pace for hours, and could go on for hours more; such were the benefits of having the endurance of a wolf. Gradually the dim velvet of the forest grew lighter as the trees thinned. She landed lightly outside the woods, watching the place where the shadow within the shadows was growing larger. Presently a young man loped out from the hold of the trees and skidded to a stop beside her, breathing lightly. The two strands of two beads in his hair clicked together as he shook his head to momentarily fix his shaggy silvery hair. "What is is Fao-Fao?" she asked, tilting her head. "You called . . ." "Don't fly so far, Artemis." The boy Faolan's voice was mellow, dancing the thin lines between tenor and baritone. "Do you want the hours that Kyrie and Embry gave us to go waste?" Artemis pouted, violet eyes flashing rebelliously. "Okay, okay! But it's been so long since I got to stretch my wings . . ." "Still. We have to be careful." Artemis opened her mouth to protest, but stopped. Faolan was right. The elderly couple they'd come to call Mother and Father had sheltered them for years, not knowing who they were, but knowing very well just how abhored their kind were. She nodded slowly. "Okay, Fao." Faolan's mauve eyes softened, and he reached out to pat his partner's head. A lance of throbbing pain; with a gasp he stumbled back, caught off guard. Artemis gave a cry of alarm. "FAO!" She balanced him, her eyes searching his face worriedly. "Even after all these years, it still bothers you, huh?" Her hands went to touch his chest. His hand caught hers and slowly pulled it away. Wordlessly he nodded. "Just sometimes. But . . . it doesn't matter. It was worth it." He managed a slightly pained smile, still recovering from the shock. "You didn't get hurt. That's all that matters." He straightened, his own hand straying to the place above his heart, where he knew, under his tunic, a black pawprint-like tattoo was stark against his skin. "Let's go, Ary." Artemis beamed, nodding. "Okay, brother!" Spreading her swan's span of tawny wings, she launched into the air again. Her earthbound shadow, Faolan began to lope again, and the two +Anima siblings fled onward as the sun began to rise.
