NOT Princess Mononoke, or Mononoke-hime, just MONONOKE. It's such great series, and it's a shame that it's not as well known. The art is so unique and gorgeous. Story: Mononoke is a series based on Bakeneko, the final arc of the Ayakashi ~ Japanese Classic Horror series. Not much is known about its plot other than it will focus of the nameless medicine seller of Bakeneko and his hunt for mononoke. So... is there anyone else who've ever seen the anime? |

Yup i loved it. A lot of animators in japan had high expectance in this anime, because the art was so unique. I really liked every story. It was like a mix of horror and thriller, because the main character (薬売り）would try to find out the truth behind each happening. I liked how they ended the series with the title "bakeneko" again. but it was totally different story which was good |

I was really surprised at how well the writers handled each story. I didn't expect some of the plot twists that happened. And I loved how the animators subtly changed the art style in each arc. My favorite story would probably be Nue, then tied with Zashiki Warashi and the original Bakeneko. But really, I enjoyed all the story arcs. |

Yeah! my favourite is Nue as well! It was quite a while ago, so i dont remember why i liked it, but it was the best. I got to whach it again. My second is probably Bakeneko as well. It was so cool how they used "see" "hear" and "speak" as clues for the witnesses. but i was also kind of touched with the Umibouzu episode. when the ED song started while the story was still going, i was like "shit im gonna cry" lol yeah, the way they show each story was awsome. I really like how they show some scenes of truth (sort of flash back)for a split second, but you still dont get whats going on until the end of each story. |
