Weather patterns

Well nobodys posted anything in the physics forum for a while so I thought this might be a good time to discuss the crazy weather patterns afflicting a good amount of the world. Take for instance the recent hurricane. Or a while back the large hail producing storm in the middle of winter(Midwestern America). What are your guys' thoughts about the all these strange occurences. ![]() |

well in the palce i live the weather in winter is about 0C and in sumer 45C we have a nice average of about 26C but the last couple of year the min got to -5C and the max drop to 35C plus the amount of rain increased and the rain season got awfully extended quite freaky to say the least. Then again global warming actually made this place quite more tolerable mwahahahahahhahah! by the way in this place there had been a drought for about 5 years untill the 2000 now there had been some floods then again all the dams are full so mwhahahahaahh again |

weather is choas, completely unpredictable and has no standards, well you could look at the last 100 years or so and find wind patterns, but still rather short timespan in terms of Earth and its complex ecology, its one of those things I wish I could have more time to study. Earth will survive global warming and so will "most" humans. I think it would be fun to see modern civilzation go through an ice age.

Ya, especially since many things in the world today are happening at an increasing rate. Of course, in the next 60 years that will eventually change, though how no one knows ;). And talk about hurricanes, last year on the east coast of the US there was like what, 5 or 6 large hurricanes *mostly hitting florida*. Lotta extreme weather nowadays--wonder if the butterfly effect had more to do with the weather than people think :/ . |
