Actually I just barely watched half of the news about this on Channel News Asia... I believe Namco Bandai is the one that thought of it... If I remember correctly they plan to release it this year... Plays similar like a Karaoke machine except it lets you pick certain scenes from various Anime titles and you have to voice over the characters... Hmm, I saw fans doing voice acting at some anime-con on Comcat: on Demand. Not sure if they used some machine cause official voice actors were there, but the thought of it overall, can be similar. I wonder what scenes they've decided to included? Gundam? Haha.

Quite amusing actually... I saw them dubbing a Shin Getter OVA... For a getter fan... thats pretty hardcore Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

dubbing machine?! awesome!Hahahaha hope the quality is good...(well i pretty much expect that it IS NAMCO and BANDAI hahaha) ive been to some conventions that lets you dub certain anime scenes but the quality sucks (you can hear the original voices T.T) |

I finally found an Article... "Namco Bandai Games Inc. unveiled the prototype machine as the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008 opened Thursday for the media and business. It aims to launch the machine in Japan around mid-2008 at karaoke parlours, said Shohei Nakanowatari, a consumer software official with the company." The machine is called "afrec!" in an abbreviation of "after recording". It will show a 30-second scene cut from well-known Japanese animation or "anime" programs involving two characters. Two participants read their parts at the bottom of the screen after hearing the performance by professional voice actors and actresses. Recordings are made automatically and played back instantly. ---> 30 seconds? I wonder how this will go then? Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

30 seconds? aint that too short? but then again..you'd only want to dub your favorite lines in anime right... like that famous char line about the errors of his youth... either way,i hope it comes to the philippines ^^ |

Haha~ I saw the article on Asiaone.com sometime back too! 30 sec is abit too short *nods in agreement with Z*... the fun will be over in no time... but then... u'll have time to try more anime.... Will soooooo love to try it! If I get to go Japan next year and find the machine, maybe I can take a pic of it and post in gendou~~  |
