Hello, good day to everyone. I tried to search for "lyrics" in the FAQ. I read the search results, but I'm afraid of posting lyrics for a certain anime ending theme song because I can only produce lyrics of the "TV size" version of the song, but unfortunately, the version of the song in which I wish to add lyrics to is the full version, since apparently, a TV size version has not been uploaded to the site. Just add the appropriate lyrics to the appropriate song. If you have TV sized lyrics, post them to the TV sized song. If you have the full version lyrics, post them with the full song. You can't post lyrics if the song isn't available, thus there's no where else to post them.

Oh, so that so? Thank you for the clarification. :) By the way, if for example, I want to post English lyrics for a song from a fansub, can I do it, or is it against the rules to post unsourced lyrics? Anyway, I saw some anime full version theme songs with TV size lyrics. Is this against the rules? Thanks. |

Well the lyrics system is open to anyone if the lyrics aren't locked yet. It's best to post a source with the lyrics, at least that's what I think. I've never tried posting lyrics and not inserting a source at the bottom where I got them from. Not sure if it'll work or not, but some lyrics have been entered before Gendou installed that feature, so some old, older lyrics might still be without source. Unless stated otherwise. If you see lyrics that need editing, then by all means edit them. Now make sure you have a good source like animelyrics.com or something like that. Once a song is edited, there are versions of that song being edited, so anyone can see what changes were made now and previously. For me, I just be careful, I try to match it up with the romanji (the lines), etc. I just try to keep the lyrics organized is basically what I'm trying to say here. If you're too unsure about a certain song, then just let it alone for someone else to edit. There are a LOT of songs on this site that need lyrics, so you can search around for them yourself. There's also other ways to contribute to the database if you want to try that out. But much help is appreciated from everyone for helping out. Mistakes are okay, just try to make them as uncommonly as possible... or so?

umm, is there a faster way to search for a song lyric in the lyrics history rather than scrolling through all the pages? or it mite be just my computer =.=

You mean, find a song by searching for a line in the lyrics? You can use google for this. Why re-invent the wheel? Example: http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Agendou.com+%22kieru+hikoukigumo+bokutachi+wa+miokutta%22

no, no, sorry...bad wording what i meant was.... is there like a 'search'area to find a particular song without scrolling through the pages? sorry! -btw, gendous a cool site XD and the replies are pretty fast- thanks
