hi, i wonder if u guys could list some depressing anime series (mostly about lovestorys). i have seen a few and i have to say, that those storys are very good, especially the lovestorys with bad endings, like basilisk & school days. |

It's not an anime, it's manga, but The Demon Ororon was pretty depressing.

school days ending is suks Oo but u can say its quite depressing though hmm i watched a lot of love stories as its my top genre when i choose an anime to watch so mostly if u wan to depress so much as i do Oo ( world is sad it shouldnt be happy) ill recommend this few titles: da cappo ( season 1 & 2) sola kannazuki no miko and so on.....im lazy to search all my dvd's at my rack so if u want more ;D if u got msn u can pm me there and ill recommend u more love stories ( if i got the mood to search all the dvd's i had =.=) address is powerlow1@hotmail.com  The moonlight illuminates my heart , The dance of the burning flowers guides my path |

now and then here and there...not really that depressing but man id love to sucker punch that hamdo! grave of the fireflies...man talk about sad...seeing a mud cake (or that tin can of candy)after watching this anime will make you cry...setsuko!noooooooooo! |

Most depressing defniitely goes to Grave of the Fireflies, hands down. The biggest slap in the face from that movie, in my opinion, is right at the start of the movie, when he tells you the date that he is going to die. It actually really does put a lot of things into perspective, such as the frailty of human life, the bond between siblings, and (above all else) the absolute cruelty of war.  |

I'd have to say that it definitely has to go to Grave of the Fireflies. T_T The poor children. There are some others like School Days and KimiNozo but I'd say it's still pretty far from Grave of the Fireflies. |

Grave of the Fireflies and Now and Then, Here and There are the most depressing things of anime I've ever seen These were really close to home even with one future set. The entire thing was just heartbreaking. |

Byousoku 5 centimeter / 5 centimeters per second were such a nice animeseries/or movie with 3 parts :D <3 the story was so sad and it was drawed very very good. and the music :D i wish there would be hell more movies like that :) |

The most depressing anime I've watched has to be Blood+ and FMA. I mean, the first one just drags on and on with the tears and the bloodshed, while the second kills off nearly every good character in very cruel ways. Depressing!  --> |

thanks for the info on blood +, ill try to watch it, i hope i do not get too much depresed. for me, except the love story, Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the depressing for me, i almost hated the anime because of it. Elfen Lied is depressing,Samurai X OVAS are depresing also. |
