I hardly played it once before and I don't really remember anything, but I heard it's REALLY popular and good...

What I thought of Disgaea:
- Nice voice actors, characters, jokes, and story (it's not about saving the world)
- Multi-ending (= high replay value)
- It kind of reminds me of Suikoden 2 (2D graphics, massive army thingie, fun to play, etc.)

It's worth buying if you already have the walkthrough and other guides (from gamefaqs or somewhere else) because some of the non-linear enemies has "I-don't-know-how-many-digits-of-nine" level (you can train your character up to the same level though if you didn't got sick of it and decided to leave it on about 60th level like I did).

Disgaea 2 is also nice. I'd prefer the first one though.

It's an awesome game. Tonnes of characters and a huge story. Loadsa tonnes of extras to unlock. Many endings. Much replay value. It's just pure class. I put in more than 200 hours on my main file on that game and I still haven't done everything.
