Are there any animes that confuse the crap out of you? The only one that really confuses me is Evangelion due to all of the references to religions and mythology.

The one anime that confused me was Kanon. The ending was totally confusing, and I didn't understand how Ayu could do all that....  |

Although I only saw the first episode, "ef ~ a tale of memories ~" was a bit confusing to me at first. I only saw episode one, but maybe if I continue to view this series, it might be easier to comprehend. You never know until you try, right? :3 It's a very nice anime though.

Eva also had an extremely confusing ending. The last two episodes made no sense to me. Those episodes apparently take place inside the main character's mind. They did make a movie as alternate ending which shows whats actually happening outside the character's mind during the last two episodes.

Paranoia Agent was pretty mind boggling. :3 But that's what made it so good. Touka Gettan also. =.= During the first episode I was totally confused until a few weeks later when I found out that the eps were being aired in backwards order. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was also confusing at first but with Kai, it seems pretty clear. |

Noein - Mou Hitori no Kimi e... when they started to talk about the universe, time travel, existence, dimensions, physics etc... i was like o.O but overall, this series is pretty nice. |

Ghost in the Shell. All those long-time conversations, using futuristic terms and whatnot D: I couldn't understand a thing tebayo~ XD even though I have to give a chance to this anime.  |

Eureka 7 really confuses me! It has a lot of cuts in the story, and there are a lot of questions hanging at the end of the anime'. Many things are not answered properly!  |

Evangelion Eureka 7 Ghost in the Shell SAC: 2nd gig (the 1st I got pretty well) Paranoia Agent Flcl at first (After, I watched it so much it started to make SENSE 0_o) Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo And the first couple episodes of Xenosaga. |

Evangelion is pretty messed up, but thats really only the last couple of episodes. Anything made by Satoshi Kon should do it if you want something to mess you up. He made Paranoia Agent so you've probably got a rough idea of what his stuff is like. |

| I always did wonder why in eva it went from mildly violent to outright massacre (the last two movie episodes.) Not only that, they had happy music playing when the world was being destroyed (note the spires of blood coming from the ground when the camera is showing the earth from space.) I mean the other episodes were ok but it just had a very unexpected twist. Well, more like a "wtf" twist. |

lol I don't have much experience with anime, but I do know a few that are a little...let's just say, you can't get quite a grip on the story line. Those anime that I know of that are like that are: I think I'll find more along the way though 0.o  |

the most confusing one was Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni..... well when I was looking on some of your list... some anime is not that confusing because they really do not have a story to begin with. |

Ghost in The Shell. Definitely. There's hardly a concrete storyline to string up the plots. It's all robotic violence. I love watching BoBoBo, and I don't think the ending does not matter, since each episode is not that continuous, it's all a mix and match of own and other animes/mangas, hence wacky stories. XD |
