Wii or Playstation?

I like nintendo, and i like the playstation systems,but what do u think is better? i say playstation, theres more anime games on it and the're more fun..I really dont see whats so great about the Wii.its cool and all but i'd choose PS3 or PS2 over it any day  |

The Wii is more for the little kids and since there are more little kids into vidgames than adults Hence, The Wii is the best in Japan... I prefer the ps3 over wii anyday because i watch movies, have emulation on it like supernintendo and the playstation store keeps me updated on all the stuff. The PS2 has been out longer so it has more titles than the ps3 so u cant compare it game wise.  |

If I have to choose whether to buy a PS3 or the Wii... I would buy the PS3 first and then afterwards the Wii... why??? Cause PS3 can do all sorts of stuff like playing videos/music, and other multimedia stuffs... it has teh backwards capability that lets you play titles from the very first PS itself... It also has a hard drive in which you can store EVERYTHING that you would like... XP... while I am saving some money for teh Wii... teh PS3 would always be there... and then when I got teh Wii... I really want to try it's controller first, moving EVERYWHERE it takes me too XP... I also like Nintendo's idea for the gamer's health... you can be exercised while actually playing... so no more sore back from sitting all day bashing buttons... these machines go great together... adding the 360 would be heaven... XP

Statistically, I think the Wii has been beating its rivals ever since they all released. How can you say the Wii is just for "little kids?" The Wii is a family console, meaning anyone in the family can use it (seriously). The games aren't childish, the games are fun, exciting, and some are quite addicting. Mario is still a figure that has no equal and the games for Mario are still a smash hit today. Speaking of smash, the Wii is going to get huge ratings once Super Smash Brothers: Brawl releases! If I could, I'd get a Wii just for that game alone! Or, that would be the very first game I'd buy if I was deciding to get a Wii console. The PS3 is also a premiere console. I can't wait until their real games release in 08. After that, I hope people change their opinion on the PS3, and in this case, I would probably buy a PS3 over the Wii. Actually, just like the second gen consoles, I'd buy both... excluding the 360.

agreed, just cause little kids play it doesn't make the wii look like a kids play toy, it's a family system & make it fair, PS3 & wii are both better, 360 has no competition at all...hands down games that are for the wii are interesting like: super smash bros:brawl dragonquest: swords super mario galaxy metroid prime 3: corruption resident evil: the umbrella chronicles mario strikers: charged guilty gear XX ACCENT CORE Trauma center new blood plus the virtual console games that are in the channels ps3...nothing good is coming for it, only for some games out there but not many look interesting, if anything Both systems are better

I'd choose the PS. Actually I don't care whether it's Sony/Nintendo :D I love both and as long as I can play happily. Though I wanted to at least experience to touch that amazing Wii tebayo~ ;-;  |

Hmm...that's hard to choose XP both are great in my opinion. I'll choose PS first, especially PS3. just like keiri said, we can do so many things. and...i can't wait for more games to be released next year. about Wii...i really wanna try it because of the cool controller and games. |

wow hard choice, for me, probably a PS3 first, like everyone else has said, the backwards compatibily is awesome, the multimedia is beauiful and having a full functioning web browser is awesome. but, the only thing lacking is games. until we start getting the hits like Devil may cry 4, and Metal Gear Solid 4, were gonna be stuck with the PS2 titles and emulation for a while, whereas the Wii, awesome games and such, just, horrible Interface sometimes and playing online is just a Forum hunt,neither system is anywhere near Xbox Live in the online department, dont get me wrong im not a fanboy of Xbox, i choose playstation over it alot, but you cant ignore its online, and today thats one of the biggest things on the market, and neither PS3 or Wii takes advantage of it. in the end, id have to go with PS3 though, multimedia ftw^^

i already have a wii and i mean its fun i got it cuse alot of games i want are coming out but theres like only game i want for the ps3 and it's also out on the 360 so i'd pick wii

@OP I cant comment on Wii or PS3 since I dont own either. Well I have friend who works in Nintendo who can give me discount but I just dont bother. I own a PS2, I can say that PS2 has to be one of the best console system by far. There are just too many great games/series made on PS2. Yes, PS3 will also have alot great games in the future. When that time comes PS3 price will also be cheaper then now(400 bucks?). If you wanna play great games thats already out, PS2 is a very good choice. You wont be bored of it coz theres too many promising old games out there. If you really want a new system, I say PS3 because it has more protential. Wii just get bored after few hours of shaking. @Mike Both Devil may cry 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 are going to be out on PC for sure, theres no need to buy a PS3 for them. |

The Wii is awesome, but so is the PS3. I say the Wii edges out the PS3 in terms of fun. I own the Wii but the only problem I have is that most of the games that I want don't come out on the Wii. I would to get a PS3 just so I play the games that won't come out on the Wii.

| Unfortunately, the PS3 has yet to justify the $400(yay for lowering even THIS far. This unit is as good as it needs to be.) price tag with any REALLY good games. I expect FF XIII will smash that, but it seems multiplatform games atke up the bulk of its current top games. I'm partially glad for this, as KH3 will be released multiplatform, and I will be able to play it on Wii. Wii is just fun, and the hits keep on coming. Twilight Princess, SPM, MP8, Metroid Prime Corruption, SM Galaxy, SSB Brawl, even little things like Wii Sports and Link's Crossbow Training are fun. The Wii is unique and a lot more hands-on quirky fun than the other consoles out there. One last thing is PS3's original Sixaxis plans. Rumble is one of the most important aspects of a good controller, and I am glad Dual Shock 3 is coming to replace that horrible device that lurked in every box last holiday. |

playstation is pretty awesome but they are all sequels nintendo systems have more interactivity and are more fun to play for example all the playstation controllers are the same but wii ds and more all the controllers are different anyways who wants good graphics blood and gore |

| Well, if success is measured in money, the Wii is doing better than the PS3, mostly because it's for more casual gamers which make up more of the mass market. The PS3 has better graphics and is more powerful than the Wii, so I'd side with the PS3. The PS3 is also for more hardcore gamers (seriously, how easy was it to play CoD on the Wii [easy, not fun]). There are also more online games for the PS3 than the Wii. But because of its price, I'm going to have to say XBOX 360 Premium. Of course, it doesn't really matter when you have all three, but I play on the XB more. |

I reckon that a Wii is much better than a PS3, theres more that you can do with the wii and the PS3 is just pressing buttons. But thats my opinion^^

I hate the wii. They're unresponsive and just plain crap. I'm a serious gamer and have been playing playstation since it began. I don't have a ps3 yet but, there is one thing that will puch ps3 past wii and even xbox 360. Metal Gear Solid 4.  |
