I always wanted to watch Samurai Champloo! My friend did so I really wanted to watch too! Glad it's going to be in Adult Swim. i hope they won't cut anything bad.

| I really like the music in Samurai Champloo. The animation is good too. So far my favorite episode is episode 11. I can't wait till it's on adult swim. From the commercials it sounds like Steve Blum did Mugens voice. (did Spikes voice in Bebop) I could just check a site and find out for sure but eh. |

I only watched up to episode 5 of samurai champloo bc i still dont know how to work the bittorent and so on. I heard that it had finished at ep 26 i hope to watch it all one day. In the US i heard its coming out on adult swim this saturday. but now to watch it all ill have to wait 26 weeks!! ahhh! But i wonder if Adult swim will cut out the perverted good scenes like when they show boobies!! hahaha. when they show FMA they always cut and edited the parts of extreme gore like when Gluttony ate the person and such.  |

Wantanabe (the director) has been a personal favorite of mine, and it seems that he enjoys inserting the theme of "karma" into most of his animes e.g. Cowboy Bebop. You watch the entire series of Samurai Champloo and you realize that in terms of story and background info, there really isn't a great deal. Same could be said for Cowboy Bebop. But I think, the anime itself, is just simply awesome how they portray the numerous misadventures that occur amongst Fuu, Mugen, and Jin. Also the fight scenes is like a revamped version of Cowboy Bebop. Reminds me of that one line in Zoolander- "They're break-dance fighting." ^_^. Although normally, i'm not a fan of adult swim, it's good that at the very least, they're showing Samurai Champloo to a prospective audience, who appreciate it as much as i do =).

Yes Licensed, in fact its airing on Adult Swim Saturdays 11:30, but I think they butchered the series with the voices and changing the tone of how Mugen speaks.. just.. i cant be expecting good things from american dubs anymore. For Bittorrent I got it from Anime-Kraze/shinsen... but Anime-Kraze traker is down and has been for months.. then Anime Forever did it too, but they only have a 9-26 batch for download. You can find all this information quickly from www.anidb.net it tells who is subbing what series

Ok, so who saw it tonight? I did and I love it. I don't like the music so much, but it fits. And thak you guys, for now I have the main characters names! (I'm horrible with names, real live AND anime.) It's different, that's for sure! ^_^ Hopefully mom will let me watch it unlike Ghost in the Shell because 'Your little sister should not be watching stuff like this'. -_- Good thing I had headphones on because it was full of cussing. But I like it.

So far, I'm in love with Samurai Champloo. My favorite scene from the first episode was the first confrontation between Mugen and Jin. That music playing gave me a lil' case of nostalgia for the Cowboy Bebop days ("Rush" anyone?). Oh, and if you're reading this Erick, the voice actor behind Spike isn't gracing Mugen's character. I honestly thought the two characters were being voiced by the same guy myself!
Jin- He doesn't know the meaning of restraint...
Mugen- Kiss my arse...

My favorite fight scene was from episode 21, that one always sticks out when I think of the series. Plus does anyone know if Adultswim brightened the animation, or if it was just the quailty of the ripps that Anime-kraze/shinsen used that made it darker.. cause I enjoyied the darkness of it.

I just watched it on CN (even they cut it) and I love it. That is the best samurai anime show, can't wait to see more.

OMFG!!! I HATE YOU ADULT SWIM the reason i dont want it aired is because they are gonna sound gay like that characters, they are gonna change the voices.. thats why i like japanese better =) AND IF THEY DARE CUT OUT THE S*X SCENES THEY ARE GONNA PAY DEARLY...(lol) i encourage people to buy the japanese version =) unless they dont wanna read.. |

Ara ara, so much anger. If you have anyone to blame "pie", blame Bandai for licensing it so early, and Turner Broadcasting snatching it up as soon as they had the chance, just like when they snatched Full Metal Alchemist. I love the japanese voices too, and can't really watch a dub myself, (unless it's the Golden Boy dub), but I do believe for those of us who watch anime and haven't switched over to japanese seiyuus quite yet, I can only think that Adult Swim is doing a great service to people who are interested in anime. I love the character names too, now that i think about it: Infinity, person, and wind??? (Mugen, Jin, Fuu)
