Ghost In The Shell SAC

Hi i was wondering if someone could possibly clear this up for me. Does SAC follow on from the original film therefore the original film needing to be watched before watching SAC? Cheers for your help. |

| No, the series doesn't actually follow the movie. The events of the series occur AFTER the movie, yes, but the events in the movie aren't referred to or play a part in the plots, if you get what I'm trying to say. In any case, no, you don't have to watch the movie first, but you'll have a better appreciation for what the series does if you do. |

Actually the series and the movie follow two completely different storylines. The GITS:SAC series chronicles events which are separate from the events in the movie. For example, in the series, Maj.Kusanagi has kept her shell, whereas in the first movie, she loses it when it's destroyed in the final scenes. For the rest, I agree with Eiko-san.  --> |
