I tried to install the 2008 version, but it always gives me an error message: "failed to exit..07XE" something like that, and thrice... My brother suggested that I get the R14 (2000) (which is a VERY outdated version btw), but I couldn't find it, besides converters and plug-ins. Do any of you have the R14? If not, know any similar programs? |

I have some experience with autocad so I think I know what you're talking about. Could you give me the exact error message? Depending on what it is I may be able to help you fix it.

Similar Programs to AutoCAD? it should depend.. [I think o.O] will you use it AutoCAD for 3D isometric designs or 2D orthographic ones? -- for isometric models :) //I'm not familiar with that error; ACAD 20o8 works fine on my friend's unit. ![]() ![]() ![]() m y . i use autocad everyday, since i'm workin in architecture department. i suggest you not to use any newest version since they probably still have bugs. if you really want to use the newest version, you need to wait its final not eagerly install the beta so you can use it correctly. i use autoCAD 2006, for its pretty much updated, it's compatible with other version of .dwg format from autCAD 2000, 2004 till 2006. i think this version is the best~ if you want to draw mechanical drawing you can use REVIT also from autodesk but if you draw building and interior designs, ARCHICAD could be of a help instead.

Actually, I was planning for an isometric one. I suppose the error was due to the computer's already low memory + space. And if I did install AutoCAD 2008, I'll suffer from the lag. I found a simple program, Tekhnelogos PowerDraw or something. But thank you for all your suggestions! |
