No, you're able to do this on your profile (since you did it already). I even did it before, but your name is already the center of the buddy network, so it won't show up twice. If you want to remove yourself... just, delete yourself on your buddy list, that's all. If Gendou didn't want members to have the ability to add themselves as a buddy on their buddy list, he would've disabled that before releasing the new network system. Since you can add yourself and whatnot, I don't think it matters to him at all, so add/remove yourself whenever you feel like it. :3 Overall, I don't think it's anything serious for Gendou to worry about, so don't worry about it.
