Romaji compound verbs

Since i found nothing regarding this particular subject on the romaji rules i'd like to ask how compound verbs(or w/e their called :P) should be written on the romaji sections.

For instance, in "After Dark", which i edited to the 11th version bout 20 mins ago, there were "tachikiru" and "tachi kiru", i didn't knew which one to go for so i went for the separate one, so i'd like to know if there is/is going to be a standard for romanization of these verbs.

Good question.
The distinction of a word in Japanese is different, due mainly to the lack of spaces.
I would say that compound verbs should be separated.
Spaces help readability, so extra spaces can't hurt.
Further input is welcome.

I think the spacing of words depends on which romanization system you are using. I found a website with a clear set of rules regarding spacing for Hepburn romanization (which is the most commonly used system) here (warning!! large PDF file). The guide also provides helpful examples of the rules, which I won't type out here since there are so many. But here are the rules they stated, if you have trouble understanding them, please refer to the guide for examples! Also the guide is pretty helpful to read anyways, if you're thinking about contributing romaji lyrics for the site @w@;;

"Write simple and compound inflected verbs, with their auxiliaries, as single words."

"Write verbs separately from adverbs or inflected adjectives or verbs."

"Write honorific auxiliaries or potential auxiliaries, dekiru and dekinai, separately from other parts of the verbs."

(these were found on pg 6-7)

Hope this helped~ >w<

god damn that's confusing, but thanks!
the whole concept of spacing as separating parts of speech is a great idea.
too bad the japanese never thought of it way back when...
