WOW! It looks awesome! BUT, THERE ARE MANY DISADVANTAGE TO THIS KIND... 1. It slows your PC to 40% and CRUSHES a lot. 2. You will need to install WindowsBlinds so that it will look 100% VISTA (90% without WindowsBlinds) 3. Destroys your original desktop icons. You will need a Restoration program in order to delete it properly. UNINSTALL is useless. 4. Hebrew Fonts (AWTZ!) 5. You need to install a 2 GB RAM in order to minimize the crashes and other disadvantages of this programs. If you want to try it, better think twice or try it at your own risk. It's not good for PCs that doesn't suit the requirements of VISTA (better get WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE EDITION instead of using this program) If I'm you, I will dump this program away from my computer's file directory. It is like WindowsBlinds, but it is worst than WindowBlinds by 10%. WARNING: Good looks is COOL and AWESOME to the eye, but the INNER WORST SIDE can't be detected by naked eye. |

Firstly the "CRUSHES a lot" version is the vista transformation pack 2.0 to 5.0... then, Windows Blind is not the only option... you can use Win2k Glass.. It uses only about 20% of the resources of your computer Hmm.. in windows got a app. called...... System Restore.. you can back up the original version with it.. My ram is only 512 and this VTP works fine.. Another thing The VTP you are talking about is the old version, the VTP that i talking about is VTP 7.0. This version is much much much more stable than the old version....

For Duo: Hey! For your information, this Vista Transformation Pack that you introduce was NEW to me. I never tried it and never use the version 2.0 to 5.0 that you just said. I don't want to post a reaction about a topic that discussed here if I didn't try it (I TRY THIS VISTA TRANSFORMATION 7.0 TO MY OTHER COMPUTER EVEN IT'S RISKY). I try the software that you introduce with this PC's specification. - Pentium 4 3.6 GHz - 1024 MB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 (The same as in your Screenshots) - 7200 RPM Seagate Baraccuda SATA Hard Disk - Windows XP SP2 (Fully Updated) - Norton SystemWorks 2006 (Fully Updated) I use Norton SystemWorks Performance Test to check and determine the changes that was being put before and after I install this VISTA Transformation Pack 7.0 and come-up to this result. a. The Welcome Screen keeps me waiting while loading for about 40-50 Seconds unlike my Old Windows XP with a loading time of 15-20 Seconds. b. It hangs when I execute my Norton SystemWorks to scan and diagnose my PC after installing this software. Even the Full System Scan is so slow. If you want to suggest to uninstall Norton SystemWorks in order to VTP 7.0 to run smoothly, "NO WAY". I don't want to sacrifice my security features in order to make my PC become BEAUTIFUL and VISTA like. c. Results of my PC Performance Test is bad. From 679 Flops before I install VTP 7.0 to 447 Flops after installing it. It almost reduce my PC Performance to 20%. And due to hangs, I hardly execute Performance Test but come-up with the result. d. Importantly, I hate the TEXT that I can't understand, The Calendar was writen on Hebrew Language. I can slightly read Japanese Text and Roman Text, but Hebrew is impossible to me to read even a single pinch. After experiencing this, I use Norton Ghost to refresh the changes to my PC (FYI: I know how to use System Restore with my WinXP but Norton Ghost is much better to use). And for what I experience, Vista Transformation Pack 7.0 is much worst than Windows Blinds by 10%. If you insist to my reaction, try to read the pros and cons of VTP 7.0 from other Download Sites. WARNING: BEAUTIFUL LOOKS are deceiving. Check its PERFORMANCE first before you judge its COVER. Important Clarification for DUO: * I'm not BLIND so I knew the topic in here is about your VISTA TRANSFORMATION PACK 7.0! And due to my observation, if this is worst, the Version 2.0 to 5.0 is even most worst and I never talk about the old version of VTP that you're saying even I have no idea how it will function!! * I know System Restore Application inside the Windows XP. But Norton Ghost is even more reliable than that. * The software uses 20% of the sources of someone's computer? I don't think so!! For prodigy_ninja (KITERA): (~_~)_(I almost forgot it) Windows VISTA have many disadvantage. But I just try Windows VISTA ULTIMATE and it improves it's performance than the previous VISTA Versions. But the Problem in all VISTA including the VISTA ULTIMATE is there are many software that is not compatible with this OS (especially other useful freewares). I can't use other Games and Softwares I got. It is true that it's better to use Windows XP for now than Windows VISTA. But VISTA keeps on improving, so it's somehow worth checking it up. |

Ruy, im sorry if i've make you mad and yes most what you said can be true... but me myself have not experienced something like what you said [maybe different country different effect??] the conclusion here is if you have the guts to try this and have the experience to do something MAD like this, try the software... again.. Ruy Lopez i'm very very sorry if i've really make you mad.. For Shin, you can make it faster by removing some apps in the VTP like Styler.. try it >.<

For DUO: Hey! I'm not MAD as what you say! I just express some of my observation about this software, so NOTHING TO BE SORRY ABOUT! (WOW! You don't know what CHALLENGE means) Don't say "Different Country will have Different Effect". You must say "DIFFERENT PC SETUP, DIFFERENT FUNCTION, DIFFERENT EFFECT". I try this PROGRAM because it gives me chill and excitement to try it out because it's new to me. I recorded the benefits and pros/cons of ALL PROGRAMS (including this one) that I TEST. And so, I always notice the weakness of the program and try to evaluate some informations that lead to calculate to be the cost of its disadvantages. .:. The VISTA Transformation Pack 7.0 eats lots of RAM that the system needed to run. Even the Flops will decrease because it use almost the remaining RAM (including the Physical Memory and the Kernel Memory) to load "GRAPHIC COMPOUNDS" that the program have (almost 70% GRAPHICS is inside the program out of that 31+ MB). It's like loading a 20 MB Bitmap Image in the STARTUP at once. .:. The VISTA Transformation Pack 7.0 is not even needed by a computer because it makes your computer LOOKS COOL ONLY but never changes or boost your PC's Performance. Even it makes your PC's performance drop by some percent because that program queued first or execute first before other startup process that the system needed. .:. The Vista Transformation Pack 7.0 is not capable to use by a PC that uses some intense security system (ex: Anti-Virus, Spyware Blocker, Firewalls, Hacking Prevension System) that needed lot of memory. Even my Computer uses much RAM and Excelent CPU Performance to protects itself from harmful malwares, virus, and intruders. If you will think about my statement (B) in my past post, it is possible to the VTP 7.0 to run smoothly if I have no Norton SystemWorks 2006 and other Memory-Eater Program installed in my computer. So, in order to run that VTP 7.0 smoothly, I will sacrifice all my PC Protections. But I will never do that because I like to protect my PC instead make it LOOK good. And for your Info: Windows VISTA ULTIMATE can be run Under... * P4 2.0 GHz * 512 RAM * 15-20 GB Hard Disk * with 64 MB Video Adapter I know you got all of those, but I know you don't like Windows VISTA because of Software/Hardware Compatibility Conflict. But as one news that I just reaserch, Windows VISTA will improve in the comming days and will resolve that Software/Hardware Compatibility Conflict. I don't like Windows VISTA also because of that conflict, but it has great security than WinXP. |

Ummm, mind if I make a recommendation? Forget windowsblinds and all those other 3rd party 'transformation' programs. Just go with Objectdock. Sure it costs money (if you buy it), but at least it works rather well, it's supported by a company, and it doesn't use even 2% of the processing power when idling on XP (and that's on an AMD 3500+). It's alot safer to go with individual programs that are little tweaks here and there, than a whole slew of them in one package that you probably don't know what is doing what in. I've currently got yzshadow (adjustable shadow effect for windows and transparency for menus), objectdock (forget the start bar, I just organize everything into my own tabbed files and flip-out panels), logon studio (available here for free: http://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/ ), and rainmeter with a cool Rin Tohsaka skin just for good measure. The advantage to doing everything individually is so you know what is doing what, and you can better monitor individually what is causing what problems if any. Plus, if you do it right you can seriously conserve system resources for doing things that actually matter (like gaming :D). Overall, my point is don't go and get a bunch of stuff when you don't know what the side effects will be, especially if they just look good at the expense of killing your systems capabilities.

Ah that memory and processor killer... I've used that once but don't want to use that again. Well I've used Vista now with XP. Plus a Mandriva and SuSE. The codename's r3ck0rd. Find me in my Facebook Profile Page, or in my blog.

Well Vista runs on my Fujitsu S6210 laptop which has 1gb of RAM, 1.6 Centrino and a Intel GMA 9xx which was below the minimum requirements and it ran ultimate just fine. |

@Kiseno well i really don't know how i did it but basically that laptop ran Vista better than it ran XP which was really awkward since Vista took more RAM but CS had better FPS but then my laptop died due to water damage. But that's another story but yea i might just have a godly laptop that sucked it up and ran Vista lol. It's really hard to explain other than Vista was it's best friend even though there were no SD card reader drivers for it but i rarely used the SD card reader and if i did it would go on my desktop which has one also. My friends were also surprised since they had to upgrade their computers for Vista and i had a laptop that ran it and gamed better than before. |

er... I don't really know whats more in vista than XP, nee~ if it's about aero glass and Flip 3D, I think thats not so important~ |
Re: Want To Change Win XP to Win Vista....

And at the same time, it'll make the OS more unstable. Why so? Because it'll go change the OS kernel itself - meaning you'll be sort of like mixing loam with your coffee. (Don't try that at home.) If you want to go Vista so badly, then just back-up all the files and programs you need, reformat your PC, then install Vista. Pretty basic even a kindergarten kiddo could do it, but it gets the job done better than tampering with your XP OS.

It's not that people don't know how to install Vista. It's more of a fact that their computers can not run it too smoothly. Vista Transformation pack itself is "interesting" It works fine if your computer has good specs but XP is superior in performance w.o eye candy. |

Windows vista graphic is very nice, especially Windows Aero,i like very much. Btw,if you computer upgrade to Windows Vista ...I don't think can be downgrade. That's no easy to format and reinstall back windows XP.. |
