What's the difference between Single and Album?
Does it mean that Singles like Houki Boshi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houki_Boshi) will not be released by itself on CDs and will only be released together with other singles when the artist has a sufficient number of singles sang?

I'm rather confused lol.

In the recording industry, the term "single" refers to a CD which contains one popular song, and one or more less popular "filler" songs.
The term album refers to any CD release, which sometimes contains songs previously released on singles.
For example, a "best of" album may be a collection of popular singles.

This terminology is used loosely to fit advertising needs, and can be largely ignored.
The album information recorded on gendou.com mainly serves to help me in my own organization.

What i know is single is just one song and can be released each month depend on the situation of the company song.
But for the album it contain many song include the single and normally one year one album can be produced...it also depend on the company song (^_^).
