Something is wrong with my Video players....

In the past, all my players played in normal color.... Just recently, whenever I try to watch any video file, everything is faded(brightness or something is high). And, I haven't done anything to the computer and I have no clue to put it back to normal spec..... What could be causing this? Thanks. -Jun |

I had this problem before when I was using BSplayer. It may be that one of the files you've opened had pre-configured settings that it automatically set with your media player, and the settings were saved into that player. It would be helpful if you posted a list of the players you're using, so maybe you can get help on how to reset the player's brightness settings.   |

Try using vlc player, or media classic. They are basic of basic players, and probably will not configure settings and what not. Or else, you just have a good monitor that does the auto adjusting for you when going wide screen.

I know exactly what you're talking about, and I have the same problem on my vista laptop. I haven't been able to necessarily fix it, but I just downloaded VLC player, and since it's a standalone player that doesn't rely on system settings or any system codecs (it does it all by itself) it doesn't have that problem for me. Whenever I try to play it in media player classic though, it has a different problem where the colors are all green or purple (but no brightness issue however). VLC works in the meantime though while I've been trying to figure out mine...

yah. same here dose anyone know how to get a diffrent vido remixer that will emedeatly go to google.com? youtube's not working for me (yes i tried www.jumpcut.com) dose not work. any help here??
