bragging about anime

I love to brag about my anime collection! I have over $4000 worth of anime library! does anybody think they can beat me? I think if I list my anime collections. The list alone will fill the first page of bbs. Call me crazy but I love to buy animes! you know what? I ADMIT, that I am crazy. Call me no life, but I am graduating my highschool soon, so I don't care about how much I spend on my anime collection until I run out of money to buy it! muhahahahaha! what about you guys? how much anime you have collected? dled animes doesn't count! it has to be legit DVDs from domestic or import!

No! seriously! I actually bought about $4000 worth! may be around $150 in plus or minus error, but I actually got close to $4000! Har Har Har!

| Wen I wan to buy anime I would think twice whether its worth it or not cause u can download most anime now of this days. However, I do have some collection of anime series and lots of its movies. The total value of all os less than $500. Its more like about 300 or around there. I wan to save my money for other purposes like my college expenses which is increasing and I wan to buy myself a new computer too. |

I already have some money saved up for college fund. Besides, I got scholarship and grants from government... I already have good enough computer. I hardly play any games... So I don't think it would be that bad to spend $4000 or more in your personal anime collection!

| Wow! U r lucky Jun-san. U got scholarship and grants from government. Thats very good. Wat u said is true. We have the right to spend some money for our personal interest( collect anime ) but currently I have got to save lots of it to finance my main expenses and the computer of course. I also normally keep some as reserve on hand just in case the ones on my budget arent enough. Its good to safe u know. For a rainy day that is. |

If you want to buy cheaper animé stuffs, here in the Philippines, you can find them! I bought a deck of animé cards for about $5 only!!! A good way to expand your collection is to find somewhere cheap and of good quality.

yup, yup. But I also buy good, original stuff when I find one, especially when it came from a series I truly adore. Just for bragging rights (and satisfaction) XD.

Wow Jun-san, that's really impressive! I've been collecting for so long (since high school- and that was a long time ago) and I can only boast a little over half that. However, if you include my Manga, collector's art books, models and other general bric-a-brak, I can easily hit $4000. probably more, but then I've had more time. (yep, I'm a real geek. ^_^) I think it's great that so many people have come to enjoy and collect this beautiful and expressive art-form/entertainment medium called anime and manga. I remember when Anime was only available through pirated 12th generation VHS dubs and the rare expensive import, and those only available at the occasional convention or mail ordered from a California based importer... Keep buying those DVD's! read all the manga available and demand more! Heck, start making your own! :) And three cheers to Gendou for creating such a great site. I have not seen it's like anywhere on the web. Thank you Gendou. I hope you continue it after you graduate. hugs to all. (btw: I also love to brag about my collection... what would be the point of collecting if you didn't? :P )

| Sorry Jun-san but i have you beat by $6000. I started freshman year in high school and 6 yrs. later my collection is just about $10000 only based off of my DVD's. |
