Yeah, it's very common nowadays for school related animes. Although in my school, kids aren't allowed on the rooftop. It's not built like the ones in Japanese HSs so yeah, it's obvious on how they're different. Boy it'd sure be nice to eat lunch or just hang out on the rooftop as the fresh breeze goes through your hair on a nice sunny day.

Sola School Days X.X i've never been to my sch's rooftop! i think there's a stairway that links towards the top but it's locked  |

lol, maybe i can add one that i recently saw (like five times). the last episode of GTO. mr. onizuka and miss fuyutsuki are on the rooftop together, and it's late at night. miss fuyutsuki went up to mr. onizuka's room, but he was outside smoking a cigarette. it was kind of like a romance scene, even though it wasn't technically labeled as one (i think). she thought he'd leave them forever, so she "got close to him" from behind and said she didn't want him to leave (it's obvious she loves him inside). if you saw the last episode, or this scene from the last episode, you'd understand better. ^.^; there was also the last rooftop scene between miss fuyutsuki and the chairman or principle. they were waiting for onizuka to come back (since he left of course). i liked it when the breeze went through miss fuyutsuki's hair after the principle asked her if she wanted to go chase after mr. onizuka.

XDD Yea, In Yu Yu Hakusho Too... Sometimes Yusuke Skips Class and Spend the time on the rooftop... I Wonder how it feels like to sleep on the rooftop... Surely it would be nice ^^  |

Lots of anime use this location: - in AIR TV with the Astronomy Club's only member ^^ - in Saikano where Shuji and Chise hang out, or maybe Shuji and his friends - in Card Captor Sakura there are lots more, but i can't remember them right now..   |
