sigh if we are going to discuss this rather than bicker than... first misconseption with Iraq is that Iraqis are fighting our occupation there, there are some but the majority of fighters there are actually radicals from countries around it trying to surpress American infrignment into the Middle East. The borders in that area of the world are very loose and impossible to defend. The Iraqis are very supportive of democracy and the new government, they had a higher percentage of voter turn-out than we did, and they might had the risk of dying to do it. One of the real reasons for the war is the top brass in the Pentagon and Bush administration believe the middle east a massive threat to national security and spreading democracy thoughout the area will make us much more secure and sooner or later people in that area will topple thier own governments when they see how good one country with democracy has it. Iraq happened to be the easist case to make war with, we dont need anything it, almost no allies, weak millitary. The Patriot Act is a complete infrignment onto our rights, but it happens in times such as this, remember the Red Scare, if you were even thought to have communist views you were arrested. the congress right now is horrible and sadly there isnt much of a way to change it, congress works best when split evenly with differnet views so that only the bills that benfit everyone in america would get through. But its controled by one party and in a time were most congressmen vote on party lines, not thier own belief or whats best for their constituents. Also with the recent changes with campain reform, big companies can openly give massive amounts of money to politcans.. it needs to change, but they do a good job keeping most americans thinking about other issues.. like the evil terrorists

Uhhh, i actually didnt mean to start another conversation on terrorism. I just meant for anyone to speak their minds on an intteligent topic. I only brought up terrorism as an example of another topic that I read. But you guys seem to be having a good conversation so please continue.  |

well I have some pretty radical ideals about American government, well not "radical" but different, so I tend not to show them and just look at and talk about issues from no particular view point, though I am not perfect, its a learning process. Sorry for the delay in response, but man... exams.. ouch

Our civilization?..erm...in my opinion, civilization means a community of human beings who , in a period of time, developed(means becoming much better than its initial state)in the aspects of the community's religion,social status, politic, written language, economics, law and order, and ethiques in communication and interaction...err....anything else?..Pls correct me. CAUTION...this is just my personal thought.You may or may not accept it, depends on your choice and your own personal thoughts.I do not force you.I just want to be heard...hehe.. Our so called civilisation now , in my opinion , is not totally civilised anymore......because there are offences commited by the human community to the definition I have given before.Example ,the abortion and gay marriages cases. I've read some forums regarding gay marriages somewhere.The propositions argue that it is genetic factor,and even monkeys have gay sex(proven by discovery channel) and they should be treated and given rights as humans by getting the law to allow gay marriages. I do not support any sides..i am only interested in the logic in it.And i came up with this. Logic 1) First they said it is genetic factor.Science already proven
