Jet Boy Jet Girl

I was scrolling through some of the newer songs posted, and my jaw dropped when I saw a song called "JET BOY JET GIRL" by Takahashi Hitomi for the anime Terra...

What shocked me was the fact that this song shares a title with one of the most famous --or infamous-- American punk songs. "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" by "The Damned" was released circa 1980, and is still considered to be one of the most vulgar songs in punk rock. In fact, when Congress held hearings on rock music, (these hearings eventually led to the creation of the "Parental Advisory" stickers) "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" was showcased as one of the reasons for censoring rock music.

I would reprint the lyrics for you here, but I'm certain that would violate the terms of use for this --and any other respectable-- forum.

After listening to the Takahashi version of the song, I can say that there are no clear similarities other than the title, but I do not speak Japanese, so I have no way of knowing what the general subject of the song is. And, needless to say I am quite curious....

Still, that an almost unbelievable coincidence: that two original songs share the title "Jet Boy Jet Girl," even though they were made 27 years apart on different sides of the Pacific.

If someone knows what the Takahashi version is about, could you be so kind as to fill me in?
Thanks

You can actually get the gist of the meaning of the lyrics using google translator.
It seems to be about a boy and girl who can fly or something.
There is no foul language that I can see.
Probably the artist's idea of a joke, naming it after an infamous song.

Thanks for sharing this interesting bit of trivia!

Update:

According to Wikipedia, "the Damned" toured the Tokyo area in 2005, playing to mostly sold out shows..... Hmmm. I wonder if they played "Jet Boy, Jet Girl."

Also, "The Damned" formed in England, not America. My bad.
