I can't watch my .avi in all my players, help plz

As the title says, I can't watch .avi video files in any of my players. (details below) I have RealPlayer, Winamp, Windows Media Player, and Veoh, but none of them can. It's like this. When I open the avi file (for example, using RealPlayer) then I play it, the player still shows the video, but in blurred version (damn, I couldn't see anything) But the strange thing is, I can still watch video in YouTube and Veoh. And plus, I CAN watch in the Player BUT I have to move the window (?) Yes, I clicked on top of the window and drag it and the video become normal and unblurred. Can someone give a solution? Please help me so the videos I already download don't become a waste. EDIT:  Here's the screenshot. More strange things. This showed blank instead of green. And it should be people dancing not green. It seems that you can't screenshoot a video.  |

Use Zoom or VLC. They both work fine, but I think VLC goes a bit smoother.

| That almost sounds like a problem with your video card above anything. It only does this with avi though? I would suggest that you try either/both redownloading the codec or get VLC and see if that helps. |

@rizuchan Yes, this only happens with .avi Other video files THAT is opened with different player can be viewed normally. Zooming doesn't do any good. It's still...green. What's CCCP? Is there any place to download VLC Player? I don't have it. EDIT: Oh wait, found the place to download. I'll try to download ASAP. |

CCCP is okay, but it's been known to have issues on certain hardware configurations. I'd recommend the K-lite codec pack: get the standard version It's got everything VLC and CCCP have and then some. Plus, (I think) the avi decoder in it tends to make things look sharper than the CCCP one depending on what you have your settings at. If that doesn't work though, the standalone VLC player shouldn't give you any issues....it's always been good for me on any of the hundreds of computers I've tried it on off of a flash drive.

Oh, it finally worked. I downloaded VLC and the video can be viewed normally. Thanks to all of you!! And VLC! ^^ |

hmm.. i think u have to configure ur player's settings to match the file and to have the proper format to watch the shows. Alternatively, u can go to youtube and find the shows u like. This is just another way of looking at the problem. ^^  |

| I use MPlayer Classic with CCCP, handles all types of containers including RealMedia. VLC seems to to have problems with 1280*720 H264 on my PC, so I usually use it as backup. |

@ Asuka: it associates .mkv, .ogm, and any video formats. but the thing is, it crashes. But anyways, i'll stick on CCCP. |

| The problems with .avi files are usually with the codecs... i installed klite codec pack ...and i use KMplayer... works like charm..KMplayer is almost like vlc...but cute :D (and powerful ^^ ) |

umm just down load a program called Any Video Converter it is a program that lets you convert ne type of video.to find it just good Any Video Converter.  |
