Vb = a fair sum of money A fair sum of money = already needed to keep this place going for free so you can download songs A license to use VB cost $160, or either $80 a year and if you are going to make sure that you are going to make that type investment, you will want to know that the site will still keep running. The problem with that, what if there are not enough donations and this place starts to fade? Either it will be made to a paid site, or that is a nice sum of money that could have gone toward something else to keep the site running. Also, consider how big the boards are, if anything a better choice would just to keep this one, or if something pretty, maybe a PHP board that is free and just as capable.

To be honest, I kinda like the forum the way it is; It's just so simple & uncomplicated! (Great for those of us on Dial-Up...) I frequently browse vBulletin based forums that take 5 minutes to load a single thread simply because of everyone who has to put animated avitars, giant signature pictures, etc... (Don't get me wrong, nothing against having that kinda thing, but it takes some time to load even over the T1 I have at work) Just seems like people get carried away with avatars and sigs resulting in alot of "glut" to the forum... |
