Daemon Tools with Arvamax?

| Recently (as in 5 min ago), I've gotten a message from Spybot S&D saying that Daemon is one the blackmail list because it comes bundled with Arvamax Keylogger. I have no clue of confirming this for sure, but a quick search provided that Arvamax does not start up (not in startup directory) and no indentifiable processes with Arvamax are running when Daemon is (only Daemon.exe). Does Daemon Tools actually have Arvamax? |

| In the about it says 4.08HE. but underneath there is an 'SPTD 1.39'. Does that help? |

i'm using the same version as yours, but i'm not getting any warnings for it when i scan for spywares. also, i've tried googling for arvamax keylogger, but i can't seem to find any info on it(it suggested ardamax keylogger instead)...are you sure it's not a typo? |

oppsies.... yes it is a typo :p. Ardamax is the right spelling. Also, the warning came after I updated Spybot S&D, on log-in. It's weird that it reported daemon.exe as a potential threat, yet has not removed it in the auto-scans I run every night. Could be because i said to ignore... but i can't find it in the 'ignore single entries' list.... so I have no clue now. EDIT: A quick search today proved that this was a false positive... spybot team said so. here |
