Deleting file but constantly says protected

After converting my external drive to a NTFS, and finally extracted a file onto the desktop that isn't corrupted or anything. I'm trying to get rid of the compressed parts but I can't delete it because it says "Access is denied, make sure disk isn't full or protected" I'm able to eject the external, but when I plug it up to another PC to try and delete it, I get the same thing. What should I do? |

sudo rm -f locked_file Linux > Windows XP
