If an external is FAT32
Link | by night_link on 2007-05-15 20:33:30
I already broke up a huge movie file about 5 GBs with WinRAR and put it on my external drive. Problem was becaues I couldn't transfer it directly because it was FAT32 which only allows me to transfer a single file at most 4 GB.

Now I wish to extract it and put it together. But I can't extract it inside the external because the FAT32 design.

Will I ever be able to extract it?

a few suggestion:
1)you may want to try converting the external drive to NTFS, then moving it to the drive.

yep, convert the drive to NTFS. Go to command prompt, type convert (drive letter). You don't need to backup any files on your external to do this, all data is preserved during conversion.
