i tried e-mailing you.!! but the one you provided sucks. meaning it doesnt work! i tried differetn variations, i thought mabye a letter was missing. oh well, heres my brief e-mail. :) thank you if you read this.

not really any questions. just saying hi.

so your half jap? do you live here or in japan? I
think im going to study abroad in japan this spring
semester(2006).

mmm have you ever lived there? whats it like to a
foreigner?(probably a dumb question right lol).

hmm i just started kanji. its so wierd with the
different combinations and pronuncations and at times
differetn meanings. my method so far is dont worry on
covering the ENTIRE kanji in one sitting. just know
how to draw it, general meanings, and dont go "ok this
is the kun this is the on etc." just know the words
it makes and feel around for what sounds right.

any methods you like/used/reccomend?

hmm what else, if you have aim, IM me my screen name
is lowtcp

sooner or later mabye a year or two later i'll get a
japanese typing program, start reading books in
japanese etc. but untilthen i need to find little
things that keep me excited and happy to learn.

sore ja, itte ikimasu!(is that even common to say? it
makes sence in english sort of. meh ok thanks for
your time chows).

*yeah sorry about the waiste of your time*

If you are japanese you must speak to me for I am always trying to learn new things!

Hmm thats odd. I checked it and thats's it. Yes i am half Japanese and I'm living in The US but I go back every summer. Well I used to live there until 5 years ago. You mean how is the US like to me? Well I think its very intresting. Its alot diffrent the school in Japan and it isnt as crowded. But when I first came here it was werid not speaking english and i was always quiet....but i really do miss japan. For kanji? Well we used rto learn a certain amount of kanji a year usually more then 100 cause we have to know atleast 1000 before highschool and you have to know 3000 to read a newspaper fully...I only know like 2000 so yeah. Hmmm maybe you can use flash cards....I'm not sure just study maybe 5 a week though some use more strokes so they may take longer or just keep writing the charcters until you memorize them fully or have a friend help you out. I dont have aim but i do have msn. Thats not really a common pharse but yeah >.< doesnt really make any sense but yeah....no no its not a waste of my time.....do you like naruto judging by your screen name

yes i do, dont spoil it for me please i will die of pain. i follow the anime, its a good waiste of a thursday/reason to stay up on wednesday!

now msn? whats your sn? ill chat with ya online.

thats awesome that you find US interesting. I actually man what would it be like for me! and thats why i thought it would be a dumb question to ask a nihongojin what it would be liek for gaijin in nihon!!

whaa? hmm..... kanji kanji! i got great memory, its just the pronuncations and combinations like. oh wait this one sucks.

4 and day is youka. 8 and day is yokko. all right but
say # month 4 day is yokka! WWHAAT?? then whats # month 8 day. does is change to youka?? that is so mean, you japanese people i swear did that on purpose to make poor little me suffer :).

by the way, if i acted like this in japanese(causal over-friendly, sarcastic) would I get people to hate me REALLY quick?

i wonder....ru ru ru. my japanese teacher always does lil cute funny japanese humming/singing. liek ru ru ru or mario with ju ju ju ju ju ju. I want to go now and converse! all right...let this continue on msn perhaps. whats you're msn??

my e-mail is shor_t_2006@yahoo.com so i think thats my msn too?

the e-mail i tried sending mine to was Mikarin375@jmail.co.jp

hmmm now i must wait.

If you are japanese you must speak to me for I am always trying to learn new things!

What episode are you at in naruto?
For the email maybe you should try using it w/o the capitals or anything...okie anywas...My msn is hontouhontou@hotmail.com I use that as an email account but i dont check it often. i dont gey what your saying exactly..4 in japanese is either shi or yon. To say the year it year# nen sai. As for saying days they all end in yobi. Hmmm well japanese people like it when americans are friendly and you can act casual with friends if they are close but as for adults you should say all the formal saying but if you dont know a person either and they are your age or older you should say all the polite way of saying setences....etc...as for sarcasism not most people are.......but if its part of your personality people wouldnt hate you...unless its really rude.Oh you have a japanese teacher? What year are you in? if you dont mind me asking. ^^ and I checked my email and I still didnt get it...I guess you can try the one I use for msn ^^

yeah i have 2 japanese teachers and 1 american teacher who was raised in japan, interesting story for each.

for the record, i'm a first year but I rule because i work so hard.

1st japanese male teacher- i think he's awesome. He has a strict side(but not realy he'll just correct you when you're wrong) and for some dumb reasons students hate him for that. Students joke he should have a "chigau/chigaimasu" button. I mean c'mon! He just wants you to get it right. I do feel he's also one of those teachers who does play favorites, but to be a favorite for him all you have to do is show effort. I didnt do over 2 hw assignments but he gave me an A because all my tests were 95% and up, and even though i didnt do the HW assigned i studied and did work.

2nd semester american male teacher- OH how bad i feel. I had him and it kept bugging me learning japanese from a non japanese person. I coulndt stand it to the point of guilt. Also my schedule sucked so i did switch teachers and schedules. He's a nice guy too, and actually a very good teacher that finds a balance between strictness and friendlyness.

now....

japanese woman teacher- lol she's like a sweet mother. she's soooo kind to everyone and cute its funny. She'll rarely correct you. She says "yes yes, good good" and smile at about any thing you word out. It's funny after being use to satou-sensei(the stricter one) its like complete opposite sides of the spectrum. Her english isnt as good sometimes either but in the end it all works out and she does a good job of entertaining the class.

I thought when you said msn you had msn messenger. no kind of chat program? I'll try the e-mail once again. i'll try both infact.

the # thing i just confused mysef no worry about it lol. I'm at 28 kanji inside and out and roughly another 10-15 that i'll know like one possibly two readings for. If you add ones that i just know im actually at a 50ish which is not bad considering our class is only expected to know 6 so far. And only one reading(we dont start kanji untill fall semester).

must figure...out....e-mail! ill try again, thanks for your interests.

If you are japanese you must speak to me for I am always trying to learn new things!

wow 2. Uhh okay. See like thats bad....saying you are the best.....bragging >.< Aww thats cool....i hate when people choose favorites >.< Okie I do have msn...it should work.....well I'm not sure.....but good luck if you have any more tests. ^^

you can buy lots and lots of books or move to japan ^_^;;

i personally learn from listening to people speak, i can never learn from books, i dont know about you.

but you can do one of two things:
1. learn japanese the "orderly" way. like first memorize all the numbers, then months, then verbs, etc. i personally hate this way, i can never have fun with it.

2. learn as you go, that's the natural way. this is how i learned, i like it. you can learn alot like this.

if you go with option number 1, its more likely you'll forget the vocabulary ^_^;

Mitsuki: Eichi-Kun, because of you, I lived 'til this day. Because of you, I followed my dreams. Now that you're gone, I have no desire to live anymore. Wherever you are...please...take me with you...

I'd love to learn Japanese! I really would except for the fact that it's hard fo rme to learn even Spanish ;_;. I doubt I could learn Japanese. It's not the actual language that I wouldn't be able to get down, it's the kanji I'm scared of...

hi,

From the site which i've recommended earlier, there's a software that makes you recognize kana or hiragana faster!! I've just downloaded it, had a tryout and it's fun.

For anyone who's interested to get this software, please go to:

http://www.thejapanesepage.com/downloads.php?cat_id=1&download_id=1

Hope you all enjoy making use of this software as much as I did ^_^

happy learning,
