downloading a song problem
Link | by Scooby on 2007-04-12 21:28:01
ok, i know that this is NOBODY'S fault but i've tried several times to download songs from this site and though it downloads the song either never plays, or i get a message saying that the song is not on the network or server. which is weird because this is the first time this has happened. i've gone thru the FAQ's area and nothing there helped, tried firefox, and other interenet services i even tried using my other computer, but still nothing. i even tried to save and move the item then open but it still wouldn't work. i just wanted to know if this little problem has become a common thing for everyone. i know i've tried everything i know to get the stuff to dl and play but, no success so far.

all 3 downloads you have made in the last couple days have finished, according to my logs.

how are you downloading? are you using right-click-save-as?

where is the file? how big is it?

what music player are you using?

(Note: IE 6.0)

ddi you right click it then ave it to a folder? o.o
did you wait for 10 seconds before trying to download it again?
did you rename the files when they asked you to save them? [i know, way out of topic, but this happens to me. XD]

Why are you avoiding answering my questions? I am trying to help you! How can I possibly be more clear than:

1. What is the size, in Kilobytes, of the mp3 file that when opened causes the error you are reporting?
2. What is the version of WMP, as found in the "about windows media player" menu?
4. What is the filename and directory location of said mp3 file?

It seems to me like you might want to use a different player.
The file I suspect you downloaded (Yakitate_Japan_-_Merry_Go_Round_(Karaoke).mp3) is an 192kbps MP3 file with version 2.3 ID3 tags encoded with LAME3.92.
This mp3 should be playable in any decent music player program.
Maybe you should think of using one (a DECENT music player program), instead of WMP!

i wasn't trying to avoid your questions, sorry if it seemed like i was. luckily my brother took a look at the comp, turns out my norton antivirus, caused a few glitches when it comes to dl things.
