Front mission - Pretty good srpg. You can customise your "wanzers" and stuff. When you battle you can blow off other wanzers arms, legs and etc. Super Robot Wars OG 1&2 - I thought the storyline was kinda cool and you can customise your robots in this too. Fire Emblem - Pfft. Not that great. Princess Maker - Pfft x100. Not worth the effort. Bahamut Lagoon - Avg. Srpg StarOcean - Okayish Live A Life - Okayish Dunno about the rest tho. :P |

I agree about front mission. Good game. Although other front mission games kinda suck. And yeah, SRWOG has a great plot and a great characters. Never liked mecha until i played it :) I disagree about PM2. It's kinda fun :) And Live-a-Live is really cool. Especially monk and wrestler scenario. Although mecha, robot and prehistoric chapters suck. Especially robot. |

Being a Fire Emblem fan (I've played all of them...even the Japanese ones, but I only beat one of them...and beaten all of the ones that came to America), it all depends on your taste, really. People tend to not like Fire Emblem because of the gameplay (it being a turn-based game) and sometimes it's too hard for people to even beat it. However, the main thing I like about the game is that it's a very story-driven game with a handful of characters filled with different personalities and their own background story. So, basically, if you like turn-based games, you can go on and try Fire Emblem without much disappointment. |

Play Super Robot Wars. It's better of a strategy RPG. Also there seems to be some kind of playstation game from Fire Emblem series. Looking forward to it :) |

Played - Fire Emblem (GBA) and Bahamut Lagoon (SNES) Both were good, but Fire Emblem got boring after the first playthrough; I over-leveled most of my people, so I just rolled over everything. Bahamut Lagoon was great, but combat got kinda boring near the end as well.

Completely agree with Padrach. Btw, if you like Strategy RPG - play Super Robot Wars Original Generation. I used to hate mecha... until i played it :) There are tons of great characters. Especially Latooni, Excellen, Ibis, Mai, Masaki, Kyosuke, Katina and Lune... Whew, kinda big especially... Well, Latooni and Lune would do :) |

@Padrach - If you want a more challenging FE game, play Fire Emblem Thracia 776. That game is in Japanese (but someone is making a patch for it), but it's lable as probably the hardest Fire Emblem game made (and it was my first...=_=;; ). Oh, and the Fire Emblem games that came to America, I must say, is far to easy. It was simplified to be made easier for Americans. They had Maniac mode for Path of Radiance, but took it off because the Japanese said it was too hard. That tells you something... If you overleveled your people, that means you were probably playing Sacred Stones. It's the easiest FE game to play out there because you can basically raise all of your characters in one playthrough. @Moggle - And I think the Playstation Fire Emblem game you're talking about is probably Tear Ring Saga. There might be others. I'm not sure. I'm not a Mech fan. I'm more into fantasy which is probably why I play Fire Emblem. ^_^; |
