Hey Everyone, I have a question for ya. Gendou, concerning contributions for Gendou.com. Will we be able to see which ones were rejected and which ones were accepted, and pending also? It would be nice to see which of mines were rejected to learn from, ya know? I'm just curious if you will be doing something like that in the future for contributions by the users. If you go under Music, and My Uploads, you'll see a history of your uploads. You get a point if it's accepted and none if it's not, and it notes which are pending. Having said that, I don't know if you'll learn much from uploads that have been rejected. I've had ones on the request list rejected and ones taken off the request list after I've uploaded, even with requests that follow all the rules (as far as I can tell). I wouldn't even upload otherwise, and I know we're asked not to make a fuss about it, but I'm starting to wonder if I should even bother in the first place. |

Hmm, this might not answer his questions fully but I'll take a crack at it. (=.=)' When you're on the page where you can begin to contribute a song's Artist, ASIN, etc., you click the button or whatever and a random song appears. If you remember that song or remember seeing it before, you either skipped it before or you attempted to find whatever info was asked and most likely got rejected. Now, if you remember songs that you submitted before and never see appear again, I guess it means it was already accepted and you get 1 (one) point (one point per [accepted] contribution). Well, that's what I think anyways.

Yes DANGEL, that would be one way to find out, but I think he wants something like a page like the Music Uploads page that told you that without going through the random songs. As for that, I dont think anything like that is around (I haven't found it), but if Gendou sees this thread, he may consider it as an update (or he'll point us to the thing and we'll look like idiots, or he'll do both for a even better laugh).

Actually the first time this feature was released, you could click on the 'pending', 'accepted', and 'rejected' links, but they led nowhere (like the statistics page currently). Eventually, a few minutes later he took it off and it appeared how it was now. I suspect he was just testing out some things but I really have no problem not seeing what songs I submitted were rejected. Just, try again with the next batch of songs.

Yes, that's what I was getting at, because I clicked on it too. So, I probably should have included that. So let's clarify shall we? If we are going to be able to see what songs in the contrib. section of our profile are rejected, pending and accepted. dangel also said: I suspect he was just testing out some things but I really have no problem not seeing what songs I submitted were rejected.
