Tales of Umerin: Warriors of Salvation (O&A, PJ!!)
|
Warriors eight shall heed the call . . ." For centuries, the land of Umerin has known peace. It all ended one day, 300 years ago. No one knows who they are, or where they came from. But the day the three Maladies - Plague, Famine, and Disaster - appeared, life in Umerin had been shrouded in darkness. Only a faint glimmer of hope remained, in the form of the promise sung by the Druidai, a nomadic clan of prophets. Salvation would come, as eight warriors from another world. Earth, mordern day. Rovien Vish Tarell Academy. Renowned for its prestige, high student rankings, and excellent education, students from around the world strive every year, dreaming of the day they would hopefully set foot into this prestigious school. Many enlist. Few are accepted. We turn our attention to the students of the Night Cross Dormitory. There are eight of them, four boys, for girls. They've come from different parts of the world. Two studensts, one from each gender, come from each compass direction. None of them know each other, yet each senses a connection between them. On their first night together in the dormitory, they disappear. The eight find themselves in a strange city, full of strange peoples and customs. They're surprised . . . and they're scared. There are people hailing them as the Warriors of Salvation. In this unfamiliar land, they have only one guide: the mysterious Druidai called "Drell". As the eight kids realize what they've been sucked into, they realize the adventure, the potential . . . and the danger. Before he begins their training, Drell asks only one thing: "Are you willing . . . ?" =Rules= Neglect to follow these rules once will result in a warning. A second offense and I will make sure your character meets a nasty end. Plus, I kick you from the role-play. 1. Follow Gendou Forum TOS. 2. PG-13. Romance encouraged. Please keep it clean. 3. This role-play is literate. No l33t. Absolutely none. Example: 1mm4n00b: z0mgz 1 ju5 k331 ur ch4rr13 w1v m1 4w3s0m0rz 5w0rdz l0llllllzzz!!!!!!!111one LiteratePlayer: Uhm . . . Magic allowed, but don't go overboard. Also, no guns or technology while in Umerin. It's a Medieval place. 5. No killing anyone's character unless they give you permission. 6. On the same note, no controlling anyone's character. If someone gives you permission to control their character because they'll be away (i.e. they're busy, away on a vacation/trip, leaving/banned from Gendou, etc.) please have them PM me at least 2 days prior their leave, or e-mail me (see my profile for e-mail) 7. There will be intermissions in which I'll be moving the plot to a different stage. During that post, I can have control over all characters. Please look for any upcoming intermissions in the Updates & Tracking section of this post. 8. Have "Night Cross" at either the end or beginning of your profile. 9. Have fun. =Profiles= Please PM your profiles to me. Have the word "Umerin" as your subject. This will tell me what it's for. The eight NCDs (Night Cross Dormitory kids) have powers over one element. One element per person, so it's first come first serve. The Maladies have power over their names (i.e. Plague has dominion over illnesses, Disaster has dominion over natural disasiters, etc.) Gendou Name: (The name people see above your posts) Character Name: (Simple enough.) I'm already working on the intermission. I'll try to get it on before I leave, but keep in mind, Drell will be teaching you for a LONG time. So if you get bored my lack of action, you'd better be prepared!! ^^ Note to the girls: Drell's attactive, so if you like to, stare and drool over him for a while ^^ -08/24/2007- Alrighty, the intermission is up and this RP is officially OPEN!! *cheers* To all you RPers, please spread the word. They ruined it for themselves. =Tracking & Intermissions= Tracking This is the area where numbers of the NCDs and Maladies are kept. Once they're filled, they're filled. Check here before making your profile. NDCs - FILLED!! Maladies: 2/3 Intermissions This is the list of intermissions (intm.) that have passed or yet to come. Re: Tales of Umerin: Warriors of Salvation (O&A, PJ!!)

it is very catchy, only its details are so lengthy. they are very long. the story is not boring, i can tell, but it is just lengthyyy.... |
Re: Tales of Umerin: Warriors of Salvation (O&A, PJ!!)

((This is what you get when you have an RPer who's been RPing with veteran RPers for over a year. After a while, you just get the hang of making sure every little detail is covered so you can make the best RP possible. And yes, I am working on the intermission.))

Re: Tales of Umerin: Warriors of Salvation (O&A, PJ!!)

None of them could remember how it had happened. None of them could remember what exactly had happened. All they knew was that one moment, they were in their dorm rooms, ready for bed, and then . . . they were here. In a rolling meadow with knee-high green grass. It had been night in Rovien. It was morning in this place. They knew nothing and no one except the seven other equally confused and frightened students around them. And even they were strangers . . . "I don't think we're in Rovien anymore," Ayize said. "Psh," muttered Zakariya. "Tell us something we don't know." "I think out best move would be to look for people," Pamuy suggested. "Perhaps if we can, they can tell us where we are." She looked up at the sky. "It looks about early morning, I'd say 6 or 7-ish. Which way should we go first?" Everyone pointed in different directions. Pamuy dropped the matter immediately. Ayize looked around the place, then without warning, grabbed both Tammi and Myon by their wrists and pulled them along as he headed for a hill. "Uhm . . . uhh . . ." Tammi stammered. "Where are we going?" "Just over the hill," Ayize replied. "I want to see if we can see this place better higher up." "Where are you idiots going?!" demanded Mei-Lien. "Guys, come back!" Pamuy called. The three students arrived at the crest of the hill. Ayize gave a jubilant shout. "Hey, up here! There's a city down there!" The rest of them followed, running up the hillside. Together the little band stared at the city that lay about 2 minutes' walk away. Durrant frowned. "That doesn't look like any modern city . . ." "We're saved!" Ayize cried, and grabbed hold of the nearest people beside him, who so happened to be Tammi and Mei-Lien. "Let go of me!" the Chinese girl cried. With an almighty push Mei-Lien shoved the African roughly away. Off balance, Ayize tumbled into Tammi, who, scrambling for a hold, caught Indie's arm, and the three went tumbling down the hill. Durrant saw the danger before anyone else did. A scattering of large boulders dotted the hillside. Ayize was already near the bottom of the hill, but Tammi and Indie were heading straight for some particularly nasty-looking rocks. Durrant was off, bounding down the surprisingly steep slope. With the long soft grass still wet with dew, both students were having difficulty finding a grip. The American slid and bounded, the wind rushing past him as he went to help. The other students, who were still at the top, saw what was happening and went to help. Pamuy and Myon headed for Indie. Tammi saw the rock looming closer. Yelping, she curled into a ball and squeezed her eyes shut, certain she was going to hit. A jostle, and tumbling. Carefully Tammi opened her eyes. Durrant had her in his arms, and they were both at the bottom of the hill. Shocked, Tammi pushed Durrant away and stumbled back a few steps. Seeing she was fine, the American smiled slightly. "You okay?" he asked. "Y-yeah . . ." Tammi replied. "Th-thank you . . ." Durrant got up, wincing. He lifted his arm, showing the growing dark smear on the right side of his shirt. Durrant touched his side gingerly and flinched. Silencing everyone else with a quick "I'm fine", he went to go back up the hill, only to stop. Pamuy and Myon had Indie covered. Just as Indie was about to hit the boulder, Pamuy dove, landing below her. As soon as she felt her clothes she shoved, pushing Indie into Myon's waiting arms. With a smack Pamuy hit the rock and was winded by the force of the impact. However, she managed to get down to the bottom of the hill with everyone else. Mei-Lien and Ayize were in a heated argument. "You idiot! You almost got two people killed!" the Chinese girl yelled. "It wasn't my fault! You pushed me!" Ayize retorted. "Only because you were groping me!" "Groping?! I wasn't groping you! I was trying to be friendly, thank you very much!" "Yeah right!" "Guys, stop!" Pamuy cut into the argument, silencing both of them. "Look, we can settle this later. Right now, we have to find out where we are, and how we get back to Rovien before class starts. Is everyone alright?" "A bit shaky, but fine," Indie said. "I think he's hurt," Tammi said softly, pointing to Durrant. "I'm fine," Durrant retorted quickly. But as he said so he winced again. "Riiiiiight," Zakariya mumbled sarcastically. "As hell you are," Mei-Lien countered sharply. "Come on, let's go. They've got to have a doctor around here." As the eight made their way towards the city, Indie turned to Myon. "Thanks," she said softly. Myon nodded curtly. "No problem." "Are you alright?" Indie asked, turning this time to Pamuy. "Pretty much," Pamuy smiled, a little painfully. "I didn't hit the rock that hard." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They wandered into the city, gazing around them. It definitely wasn't Los Angeles or Tokyo, but nonetheless the place left them in awe. As the eight teenagers made their way down the street, they began to grow nervous. People stopped to stare at them, and whispers hissed through the air like wind. Uneasily they continued forward. Suddenly a crackly voice cried out, making them jump. "Hail the Warriors of Salvation!" An elderly man, his daughter trying to get him to calm down, stood, waving his arms. He fixed them with wild eyes and continued to shout. "Warriors of Salvation! Hail! Hail!" Pamuy looked around, watching the other people. They were shuffling away from the old man, but their eyes gazed at the eight of them with hope. She saw the chance and called out. "We're looking for a doctor! Our friend is hurt, and he needs treatment." The people shuffled uneasily, but remained silent. The other Rovien students took up the cry. "Please, is there a doctor?" "We need a doctor." "Doctor! Anyone a doctor?" The people began to mutter among themselves and turn away. A rush of anger coursed through Mei-Lien. She grabbed a shopkeeper by his collar and shook him. "Hey! We're talking to all of you. Where's the doctor?!" "I wouldn't do that if I were you." They turned; a woman stood a little way from them, a satchel in her hand. She gestured to them. "I'm no expert on medicine, but I know enough to treat a wound." Indie nodded and began to follow her. Pamuy and the others were not far behind. The woman led them to a small shop, a wooden sign with a strange symbol engraved and painted onto it hanging over the door. Opening it, she let them in. It was a little gloomy in the shop; little light penetrated the darkness, save for a few feeble shafts from outside. It was soon apparent they had come into a mystics shop. Crystal balls, magick books and scrolls, incense sticks and candles, figurines, heaps of chalk, and boxes of tarot cards lay on the shelves, many of them covered in a layer of dust. Some of the more observant teenagers noted this, but said nothing. "Wait here," the woman told them, and disappeared into the back. They stood clustered together, the tension growing. Some of them shifted uneasily, looking nervously around. A minute past . . . two . . . three . . . "Do you think she's still here?" Indie whispered. The door behind them opened, and a bear of a man with a raven perched on his shoulder stepped into the shop. Clothed entirely in black, they could see nothing of his features except for the gleam of his eerily blood-red eyes. "Malvia," he rumbled in a deep voice. "You're taking too long." "Give me a moment, Gruhan," the woman's voice called out from the back. "My pin won't stay." "Forget the pin," the man replied. "Your prey was ready to leave." The woman grumbled and stepped out. She was completely different from before. Dressed in dark purple velvet and black silk, she wore a high-collared dress that split at her right hip. She had black cosmetics and black hair, making her pale skin and wine-purple eyes stand out. "So, these are the Warriors of Salvation we've been waiting to hunt?" she scoffed. "They're just children. I cannot believe they would summon children." "So they are children," the man agreed. "That means easy prey." "Oh, don't look so scared, pets," the woman cooed. "I promise this won't hurt a bit." She began to chant. Inky black mist formed around her hand, humming with energy. The students froze with shock. With a wicked smirk the woman fired. The eight teens threw themselves onto the floor, and the magick hissed past, smashing into the store front and blowing a hole into the wall. At once the kids were off. "What's going on?" Indie cried. "Just run!" Mei-Lien yelled, and sped up. A screech; the raven dove, attacking their faces. They skidded to a stop, trying to protect their eyes. The woman and the man came out of the shop. "Buh-bye, children," Malvia cackled, and fired. The stream of dark magick sped towards them, and the raven flew. None of them would be able to react in time . . . "Destae!" The mist halted and evaporated. A tall man stepped between them, the hood of his forest green-grey cloak hiding his face. A long wooden green-grey staff was held in his right hand. "A Druidai!" the woman hissed. "Umbramagi, why have you come?" the hooded man asked, his voice edged with ice. "You're here to protect the Warriors, aren't you?" the woman snarled. "Gruhan!" The dark man mumbled something and a dark shadow loomed over him. "Kill them." The apparition swooped down on them. The tall hooded man held his staff into a defensive position. "Helios!" The large jade-like gem on the top of his staff flared with blinding light. The demon shrieked and shrunk back. Twirling his staff so it pointed downward, he buried its tip into the ground. "Murem!" A dome of faded green light spread to surround him and the eight of them. He turned to face them. "Are you all here?" he asked. His voice was a soft tenor. "Who are you?!" Mei-Lien demanded. "Are all eight of you here?" "I said, who are you?!" "Y-yes, we are," Pamuy stammered. The man nodded. "Good. You have to release your element." "What element?" Myon asked. "How?" "Are you listening to me?!" Mei-Lien snapped. The hooded man heaved a sigh. "Someone who wants to help." "Help with what?" "Your task. It is the reason you are here." He looked up at his dome. "I shall explain later. At the moment, our current worry is the Talismagi and Umbramagi here . . ." He pulled the tip of his staff from the ground. Immediately the dome dissolved, and the demon attacked. He threw up his staff in a defensive maneuver and blocked, then, with lightning fast reflexes, swung it around and brought it smashing down on the beast's head. With a grating roar it withdrew. The hooded man took the opportunity. "Salte, Columbia!" the man commanded. His staff glowed and changed shape. In moments he was wielding a magnificent sword. The demon had recovered and swiped at him. Sliding under it he slashed at its leg, leaving a deep gash across its ankle. "Look out!" Ayize warned. Too late, its tail crashed into him. The hooded man slammed into a wall, leaving a sizable crater. He took a few moments to recover, and was off just as the monster's claws raked the crater. The hooded man slashed a claw off. With a shriek the demon lashed out with its other arm. Again it caught him and sent him flying. Durrant, Myon, and Zakariya managed to catch him. "Are you okay?" Durrant asked. The hooded man nodded. His hood had been blown off, revealing a surprisingly young but serious face, slightly weathered and sun-kissed from years in the sun. Choppy bangs and a cascade of chestnut brown hair, most of it tied in a ponytail, framed cool smoke grey eyes. He had a silver dangling earring on his left ear. He got up, brushing himself off. "Thank you," he told the three boys shortly. And he was off again, leaping at the creature. He met its oncoming claws, cleaving two clean from its body. Flipping in mid-air he landed on his feet and dashed forward again. The demon reared, its serpentine head slamming down to snap at him. All it got was dry earth. As he soared through the air he was struck once again by its tail. With a sickening thud it pinned him to the ground. It hissed and loomed over him. Struggling, the man managed to get his sword arm free. "Grh . . . H- . . . Helios!" The pommel stone flashed, and the demon stumbled back, screeching. The man slid out from under the creature's tail and seized the upper hand. Jumping onto the demon's thrashing tail he charged up it, bounding lightly up the spines that lined its back. Leaping, he swung his sword back. "Maxima!" Green-grey light enveloped the blade of the man's sword, and elongated by several feet. He attacked; in one swing the enormous blade cleaved the demon’s head from its dark shoulders. The creature evaporated just as the man landed, his cloak and hair swirling around him. Rising, his grey eyes bore impassively into the two attackers’. “Pausae, Columbia.†His sword glowed and turned back into a staff. “Purus.†The round crystal glowed, and tendrils of soft jade-coloured light snaked out towards the two magi. The woman shrieked and tried to cast away the light, but the dark man remained silent, as if he had accepted what was to come. The light wrapped around them, and the woman screamed. Moments later, her scream still echoing through the long deserted street, two statues stood where they had been: a hissing cat and a large bear with a raven perched on its shoulder. Quietly they crumbled to dust, and the wind carried them away. The man lead them back the way they had come, up over the hill by a gentler path and back into the meadow. Turning to them, he slowly sank onto one knee, the silver dangling earring on his left ear tinkling as he bowed low. "Greetings, Warriors of Salvation," he said solemnly. "My name is Drell. I have come to aid you in your task. To complete it, you must be willing in your mind and soul. The path you tread is a long and difficult one. Your trust and companionship in me, in each other, and in yourself must be strong. Now . . ." He rose to his full, considerable height and fixed each of them in his piercing smoke-grey gaze. "Before any lessons begin, I have one question to ask you. Are you willing . . . ?"

Tammi was overwhelmed. This was a lot to happen in such short friggin' notice. Needless to say... she was freaked. Freaked. "W-wait a minute..." Tammi started. "What task exactly? Are we... like, supposed to save the world or something?" There was a hint of disbelief in her voice but it was a true question. |
Re: Tales of Umerin: Warriors of Salvation (O&A, PJ!!)

Indie starred at the man in front of them. Her stare was one of disbelief, but also one of like. He was very attractive, and apparently he knew what he was doing. She closed her mouth, which had hung open as she starred, and then shook her head. Ten minuets ago they were lost, now they were suppose to save a world? Okay Indie, get a hold of yourself. Nothing has been decided yet. Just open your mouth and say something. Get this crazy guy to answer everyone's questions, and then you can freak out. What I wouldn't give to be back at the dorms with a good book...Oh wait. I'm dreaming. That's why I'm not dead. This is a really bad dream. Indie moved to pace, a playful smile on her face. All she had to do was wake herself up. she hit her head with her palm, but all that did was give her a headache. Well, at least no one was paying attention. |

Durrant: Durrant was at a bit of a loss. A great deal had happened, and he had taken it all in unthinkingly, but now there was a lull, and only this odd man, *Druidai?*, standing before him. He softly touched his side, wincing a bit, but pushing past the pain to check himself. *Lacerations and a bruised rib, but I don't think it is broken,* he thought to himself, calling on his meager, self-taught paramedic skills. Lacking any other items, he removed his shirt, and tied it around his torso to help stifle the bleeding, all while this 'Drell' spoke of impossibilites. Having temporarily tended his own wound, he looked over the other seven as Drell finished speaking, and a couple of his peers responded. One of the girls had hit the rock earlier, and most of them sported some gashes on their faces from the raven, but nothing seemed life threatening. *I'll ask this 'Drell' for a first aid kit once things settle a bit,* he told himself. Ayize: Ayize stepped forward, putting himself between Drell and whichever student was closest to the 'Druidai', or whatever that witch had called him. The girl that had reacted badly to his touch was stammering a question, but Ayize decided to talk for himself. "Drell, is it? Hey, thanks for, err, anthropormorphically petrifying those two before they killed us, but you sound a bit odd, yourself. I'm not trying to be rude or nothin', but I think it somewhat sudden to ask that weird question of us when we've only been here for 20 minutes and almost died," he spoke, his voice not unfriendly, but skeptical. "Maybe we could get cleaned up and you could tell us more about this if we haven't woken up by then?" |

((I apologize, but my posting is going to be a bit sporadic, since I am readjusting to school. I'll try to post whenever possible, but if I don't post for a while, it will probably be school related.)) What had happened in a matter of minutes was truly unbelievable. Zakariya was trying to process it in his mind, re-examining the strange events that had led to this point. Science just could not explain the utterly strange phenomena he had seen back in the city, nor how they had even gotten here in the first place. Finding his logical side useless in this situation, he let his mind drift toward the hundreds of fantasy books that he had read. This was just like those cliché 'save the world from destruction' stories. Either that, or there was some prank that everyone else was in on, with some really special effects; he preferred his belief in a fantasy world to that. He had always thought it would be cool to be in such a world, but from what he had seen and experienced so far, he had been in a state of disillusion. Though he was curious about this world, he decided to keep his guard up for the meantime. He had already gotten involved more than he liked, so he kept silent, opting not to give his input. In the stories he read, the ominous question Drell asked usually called for an absolute answer: either return home, or risk his life for some stupid cause. Since he really didn't prefer one to the other, he waited to see what the others would do before settling on any absolute course. |

Disaster: A shadowy figure sensed the new presence of eight humans. He smirked rather loudly. "These could be the so-called Warriors of Salvation that'll defeat the Maladies." he thought to himself, calling on the brief information he got on them only. He laughed slightly at the thought of newcomers defeating the powerful Maladies, including himself. "The others have probably sensed them as well. Time for a meeting on this i guess.." he said. A Shadow Messenger appeared behind him. "My lord, i believe theres the new presence.." he said but was interrupted by Disaster, who destroyed the messenger without perceivably moving. "I know that fool.." he said before walking out of sight. |

Pamuy simply stood there and stared at the tall man. He was TALL. And attractive, in a very weathered way. But . . . she remembered the visions she had had. So this . . . this is what it meant . . . she thought. She looked around at the others, all with similar expressions. Save the world . . . are we going to do that? Can we do that? He said we have to be ready . . . ready to face what? She knew it wasn't a dream. Her dreams were very much different from those of others, and she knew this was definitely not one of them. "Dr-Drell sir . . ." she began. "Screw the 'Drell sir' crap!" Mei-Lien cut in sharply, her Chinese accent clear, even in annoyance. She jabbed a finger at Drell. "Right, mister! I not sure what this you want us to do, but I not liking it. We know nothing about you and this task we supposed to take. What we doing, who is involved, and why the hell should we do it in the first place?!" Drell calmly took the verbal assault. He was, of course, expecting this sort of reaction. But . . . children . . . though not truly children, they were certainly not grown men and women . . . did the Master know what he was doing when he brought the eight here? He pushed those thoughts aside. The Master had chosen them, which meant that he had sensed their abilities and destiny even within the other world. Druidai were to trust the Master. So he would. The tall Druidai's met Indie, Durrant, and Zakariya's, and seemed to read their thoughts. The three of them would have seen him give them the slightest of nods, as if he understood. "I see that some of you suffered at the Talismagi's hand," Drell said, looking to Ayize. "Though I am a little curious at how the Son of the West and the Daughter of the North received their injuries." "I-it was nothing," Pamuy replied. "There was a bit of difficulty getting to the city . . ." Drell held up his hand, and the Native American stopped. "I believe it would be best if we tend to our wounds first, no?" Mei-Lien, seeing that the strange man wasn't responding, let loose a long string of Chinese, most, if not all, were obseneties directed at the "Druidai". Very unlady-like for her, but she was straight pissed. "Pausae." As if she had been enchanted, Mei-Lien aruptly stopped. Drell reached into the folds of his cloak and produced a satchel, as travel-worn as he looked. He held it out to Tammi. "There are salves and bandaging in here. I believe this will be the first step in comradeship." He turned to Pamuy and Durrant. "Daughter of the North, Son of the West. I will attend to your wounds personally. Come here." He sat them both down and dealt with Pamuy first. Drell moved a hand over the girl's back, and muttered something to himself. Pamuy caught the words "bruise" and one that sounded like the tall man's single-worded spells. Durrant would have seen a soft jade-coloured light appear beneath the Druidai's palm, and spread over the Native American's back. Then he turned to the boy. "Son of the West. Remove your shirt," he instructed. After a moment's scrutiny of Durrant's side, Drell again placed his hand over the wound, and said, "Sanae." His hand glowed once more, and when he removed it, the injury was gone. Drell looked at the two of them, the shadow of a smile flashing across his lips. "You two seem to know your healing lore. Let us go and aid your friends."

Tammi eyed the Chinese girl warily. Wow... she had some anger issues or something. I wonder what curse words she's saying... This brought on the thought that had felt often before. The wish to know other languages. But that gone the moment, the girl stopped raving. Now Tammi was staring at Drell. What did he do? She continued to stare even as he reached into his cloak and handed her the medical supplies. Tammi slowly nodded and took the items from the Drudai. As the man went to heal the two with the worse injuries, who included the boy who had saved her, the girl looked at the others. "Well... who needs this the most? You can go first." Tammi opted to go last. She didn't feel any issues so why bother taking the chance of wasting the stuff on her. |

Myon looked blankly at the man with little interest in anything more than going home. Mostly unphased by the events that had just transpired he stood near them. Both of his hands inside of his pants pockets. The only hope I could get out of here, would be to follow along with the task I suppose. Myon thaught to himself. Not planning ot waste any of his time gawking at the situation he and his fellow students had just been put into. He watched the man whom had just presented himself to them heal their wounds with some level of interest, and waited for the next course of action that the others where to do. |

Durrant: Durrant felt some relief that their inuries would finally be tended to. He didn't mind being one of the first to be healed. One of the first rules of tendinn wounds was that one injured would have a difficult time helping another, and so should first tend to his own. Seeng this soft light, and watching as it mystically removed Pamuy's, then his own, wounds, he only gave a slight outward sign of amazment - a raised eyebrow. *Is this Reiki? I've certainly never seen it work like this,* he thought to himself. He dropped his shirt to the ground, it wouldn't do to get blood all over himeself again, and was only marginally aware of his own smooth, toned chest. His siblings had often teased him that he was girlie . . . but that was a long time ago. Thinking of assisting Tammi with the tending of the others, he was also quite interested in the ungents and such in this 'first aid kit'. Even if this was a dream, there was much he could learn here, he felt, and he would not be shy in the asking. That was for later though, now there were injuries to tend. "Please let me assist you," he said to Tammi, though as of yet he still did not know her name. Ayize: Ayize was tense at first when the two went close to Drell. He had mentioned healing, but Ayize wasn't yet sure how much he trusted him. But, watching the girl's large bruise and the boy's broken skin mend beneath the Druidai's light set him a little more at ease. "Well, that's cool!" he said. "Even if this is a dream, how did ya do that?" he asked the man. |

Drell had also walked over with Durrant and Pamuy, and now turned when Ayize spoke to him. "Magick," was all he said. It was, truth be told. Not that he assumed the boy would understand, or believe. Pamuy looked over to the tall Drell. She'd already seen the two "magi" as he'd called them summon monsters and attack them with mist. And she'd seen the things that Drell could do with a single word. Magick was, to her, a very reasonable answer. If those two could do it, why couldn't he, when the woman had clearly not liked it when Drell showed up? Mei-Lien looked at the Australian girl with something like a mix between annoyance and empathy. She heard the American boy ask to assist the girl, and a wry grin spread across her face. "Shy," Mei-Lien told Durrant, walking over. "No ask shy people. You ask, always say no. You act. Always act." She turned to Tammi, and added, her voice surprisingly kind, "You too shy." Without waiting for a reply she slowly but firmly took the satchel from Tammi. As if she already knew which was what, she took out a stone container and opened it, revealing a beige paste. She looked over at Drell. "Wei! Drell, hai?" she called, holding up the container. "This is one for cut?" Drell nodded, and Mei-Lien turned back to Tammi. "Stay still. I help you."

Tammi blinked. Once more she was taken off guard. Durrant had come, asking if he could help. But Mei Lien came before anything could be said and pretty much took over. Hands free, Tammi just stood there, silent. I would have let him help... She thought, frowning slightly. When Mei Lien offered to put some on Tammi, the girl instantly shook her head. She may have been 'shy' but she was no pushover. "I'm fine. Go over to the others." To enunciate that, she stepped away and proceeded to turn around in that direction.. She paused for one second looking at Durrant. "My name's Tammi by the way. Just so you know." Then she walked off to where the others were. |

Durrant: After the entire exchange, Durrant scratched his head as Tammi walked off, leaving him and the other girl. He shrugged, thinking to himself that if she prefered to tend to the others alone, he wouldn't get in her way. The other injuries were all pretty minor, and really didn't require two people to take care of them. "Tammi," he muttered. He'd have given his name, but she had not waited for it. He nodded to the asian girl, even bowed a bit, then sat on the ground a short distance away. He observed the students tending to each other, and Drell, without remark. Ayize: "Magic? Well, that would explain a lot," Ayize replied to Drell. "Well, if this is a dream, may as well see it through. And if it isn't, same thing." He smiled. He went over to were the majority of them were gathered, and bellowed, "My name is Ayize, and I'd very much like to know your names, too!" He reached out to shake a hand. |

Tammi jumped slightly and stared wide eyed at the overly energetic boy. He's chipper, isn't he? When Ayize held out his hand though, she took it. "My name's Tammi. It's nice to meet you, Ayize." |
