Irritating...
|
Okay... I just got three warnings because I can't download a song... I find it odd, being as I COULD do it yesterday, but for some strange stupid reason it doesn't want to download today, and when I try again, it just happens to be in less than ten seconds, causing the site to think I'm doing something I shouldn't be. My question isn't exactly to see if I can remove the warnings. I rarely ever get them (and usually when I do it's because I'm being stupid...). I want to know why it won't actually download. Are some server problems going on now or something? I'd like to know so I don't try again just to get more *this page cannot be displayed*/*cannot find site* EDIT: Okay, found out the problem... I think... For some really stupid reason, my computer is trying to download it as an HTML document. However, it downloads other songs like it is supposed to. I'll start trying to troubleshoot a bit more so my eye can stop twitching... Edit2: Thanks for clearing it up. I wasn't sure what could be causing it. I wasn't concerned about the warning so much as the fact I couldn't listen to the song. Now I know to blame the accellerators.

I will tell you exactly what happened, as I was able to discover from the server logs. At 10:38:28 you attempted to download a song, but the server was under attack by several download accelerators, and could not possibly respond to your query. This happened again at 10:38:41, 10:38:51, and 10:39:04. Then, you tried one more time at 10:39:12, which was within the 10 second no-download window, and the request was processed, resulting in an error. You then tried again at 10:39:18, which was also within the 10 second no-download window from the LAST error - shame on you - and you were given your second warning message. Third message was at 10:39:20. Another busy error at 10:39:46, due to continued flooding from people using download accelerators. Download warning at 10:39:49. Error at 10:43:48; you sure aren't helping the server recuperate by flooding it yourself! Finally, from 10:44:24 and onward, the server recovers, and you are able to download again. The moral of the story is: FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. People who DON'T follow the directions screw everything up for OTHER people who ARE following the directions. It is a cascade effect, and one that I have done EVERYTHING in my power to prevent. |
