Is someone trying to steal my username??
|
I've gotten 2 automated emails during the past two days, saying that someone was trying to retrieve my password- but it wasn't me! Is someone trying to steal my account? But why would they- it's not like I'm at level 100 or something. Is my account worth stealing? I changed my password just in case, but it's still a bit alarming. Does anyone have any advice?? |

Go PM Gendou.. Im not sure if he could help.. But its your best shot... -----Edit----- Well technically, as long as that person is attempting to 'retrive' the password... Your account is still safe since he or she dont have it.. Yet.. Im not so sure as what you should do either.. But the password retrival thing is your lifeline for this kinda thing.. So yeah... Thats about all i have... Perhaps the best you can do is to wait it out perhaps... Since this person will try to retrive the password no matter how many times you change it... |

Since the emails were delivered to your email, they can only be seen by a person with access to your email. It is highly unlikely that someone who has gained access to your email account would want to gain access to your gendou account, too. What is far more likely is that someone entered the wrong email address, or username, and clicked on "forgot username" or "forgot password" respectively. If you are concerned, forward me the emails (reply to sender) and I will take a look in the logs to make sure nothing fishy is going on. Also, if you have reason to believe that your email account has been compromised, go ahead and change the password there, too. |
