Everytime I try to download something I get a message saying that Internet Explorer can't open the link. Please help!

Thanks and God Bless!

You don't open the link, you save the target (in your case, the mp3 file). Have a browse through the faqs if you're still stuck.

That's what I do, i right-click and pick Save Target As and then I get a message telling me that Internet Explorer can't open the file. None of the FAQ's helped me with this problem.

Try using Mozilla Firefox instead.
If not, update your IE if you didn't do so already.

I don't understand, though, why it will download one song, then ten minutes later, not let me download anything.

It could be a server issue when there are too many people trying to download songs at once. I'd recommend changing browsers from internet explorer. I've had problems with it in the past.

if I were to download Mozilla Firefox, would it automatically replace IE?? or could I switch back to IE if I didn't like Firefox?

You can always switch back. I have both internet explorer and firefox on this computer. When you install firefox you can specify whether to make it your default browser or not. It does not completely overwrite explorer. You'll have a shortcut on your desktop for firefox and explorer and can use whichever one you want :)

These are entries in my hit log, meaning your browser contacted my server to request the given files at the given times. This log shows that you are NOT waiting between downloads, and that you are attempting to download the same song twice within a short time.

I have no idea what is wrong with your browser, but it is NOT MY PROBLEM.
If Internet Explorer 7.0 is misbehaving, use Firefox instead.
My website is built to Internet standards.
There is no good god damn reason for MSIE to request the same file twice for one click.
If, however, you are NOT following the directions (which is still suspect is true), USE RIGHT CLICK SAVE AS and do NOT just CLICK on the links.
What may be happening is it starts to download the file and then prompts you for where to save it.
Then, it starts downloading AGAIN after you select a location to save the file.

Please tell me if this theory seems likely to be correct based on your activity.

I'm sorry, when the error message popped up and said that IE couldn't download the file, I assumed that the transaction didn't process it on your side. I do not think there is a problem with your site and I'm sorry if I implied that, I'm just trying to figure how this all works.

I switched to Firefox and the downloads works perfectly, and played just fine. But, as presented in my other thread, I can't figure out how to play them.

I not trying to cheat in any way, I'm just trying to figure this stuff out.
