It's actually sha, not sya, for bike and train. That's the sound produced when you put small ya next to shi. |

^^ its actually "sha" when pronounced...but its "sya" when using the right Romaji... ^^ *I used the hiragana as reference for the spelling* |

^^ its actually "sha" when pronounced...but its "sya" when using the right Romaji... ^^ There is no character Sya, its Shi with a small Ya following it thus common romanization of it is sha(or shya as I have seen a few times but Sha is more widly accepted.) |

Both are correct, but "sha" is used more often (I'm assuming Hepburn is slowly dominating). |
