FFVII...Why did she die?

Yeah. Anyone ever get to the second disk on FFVII? I did. Why did Aeris die? I never really used her much, but why'd she die? I also heard that Aeris was originally supposed to come back. Anyone got info?
You know, an old man once told me there was no such thing as miracles. If that's true, where did Final Fantasy come from?

*sweatdrops* Wasn't FFVII released 8 years ago? I'm surprised you only figured that game just now. Err.. or maybe you're just busy, I guess. Well, okay. FFVII is my favorite RPG of all time, so I'm gonna just answer your questions. Yep, I did get on the 2nd disc, even on the 3rd. Let's see, why did Aeris die... guess that Square just felt like killing her, much to my dismay. But for me, it's one of the reasons why FFVII is the best RPG. Though I admit when I first saw that scene, I got depress. (T^T) Aeris won't be back... well, at least on the game. There's this movie (which is available on DVD only if I'm not mistaken) called Final Fantasy Advent Children which is more likely the sequel of the game. I saw a couple of pics of Aeris on that movie, but I really haven't figured what she really looked like. Her seiyuu is said to be the famous Maaya Sakamoto! ^_^ ======================================================== |

| I'm guessing to give a reason for wanting to really kill sephiroth, as some sort of revenge, and also to shake up the player, comeon, noone really thought she was going to die when they first played through...and so FFVII fanboys could write horribe poems about her death LOL...i thankfully am not one of them. |

Aerith's death was a pivitol part of the story. It spurred everyone on to do what they had to do. She died because she was willing to do what was necessary for the world and the people she loved, to survive. In a way she does survive though because her energy, as well as every other creatures energy continues to be and to create other things. So she's never really gone. Hence why you can rearrange her name to be 'I Earth' (least in the Japanese version) And her appearance in the movie is only as a flashback. Kinda disappointing but appropriate.

ff7 is one of the emotional games of the ff era. Aerith's death was very depressing and was unexpected. you would expect earlier on in the game that she would come back but all you get is a glymps when tifa reached down for cloud at the end of the game. i read something about adventchildren. is it out on DVD or not? ive been recieving false statements on different web sites about the release of adventchildren. if anyone knows anything about it your reply would be most appriciative.

The last I read about it Advent Children was going to have an October realease in the States this year. Or at least late 2005.

| Advent Children will be first come out for PSP. (damn it!!) After about 2 or 3 months, it will now come out for the DVD. Ohh... I can't wait!! This is a must see! |

really. that is not right. all they are trying to do is make more profit. im not complaining about profit because its a good thing. but couldnt they just make the DVD first then the PSP disc? i mean, is that asking too much? anyway, i was browsing through eyesonff and found a new Advent Children web site. you just read the first para. in eyesonff. its not yet completed but they are making the page just right. they even have a trailer on the movie. Has anyone ever been to eyesonff web site? if so, does anyone know what im talking about?

I want a remake of the FFVII game For the PS2 with better Graphics! I love that game Has anyone made the final chocobo i only made the black one so far..... its hard to ge the last one I heard it might be remade for PSP isit true? |

i agree FFVII is a great game and it would be great to have it remade for the PS2. i have a gold chocobo and it isnt hard. if you get an AWSOME CHOCOBO(get three or four just in case the first doesnt work) just mate it with the BLACK CHOCOBO.(make sure the gender is correct) thats all you have to do. if you want to get a GOLD CHOCOBO right away, just defeat ruby weapon and you get a DESERT ROSE from ruby weapon. you can exchange that DESERT ROSE for a GOLD CHOCOBO at KALM. there is a TRAVELER their "aka KALM TRAVELER" just speak with him. i recommend that you just creat a GOLD CHOCOBO.

I'm one of those people who feel remaking a game would only ruin it. I think if they did anything with the original FFVII game they could finish it. Since it was rushed to production. Not as rushed as Xenogears, but it was rushed. They originally intended to have Aeris in the game A LOT longer then she actually ended up. Hence why she has a 4th lvl limit break. I also feel that if they did rerelease the game "fixed" keep the original graphics, there is no need for them to update it. There is nothing wrong with it. Except for all the glitches (do to the rush). Sure the graphics for games has vastly improved since the release but that's my point entirely. The game came out in what 92? Sometime around there. Those graphics were top of the line when they came out, if they did remake the game it would just be squeenix's way of milking a cow that's still at the top of the herd. As for Advent Children, I think that movie is going to be great. If only they'd STOP releasing trailers for it lol Soon we will see the entire movie before it's release due to all the trailers they have released for it. |

well, most games are rushed... to meet the demands of us players who scream out "MORE GAMES!!" but really, if they weren't pressured to finish the their games asap on the double as in right now!!, im sure they would've been able to fix the glitches. a remake would be nice, but i wont support it.. it'll ruin the authency of the game. besides, reni's right: during those years the graphics FFVII has is the best; isnt it stated that it's the first 3d 3 disk rpg game? ^_^ but i wouldnt mind if they remake front mission 3 tho ^0^ yeah, they really should stop releasing trailers.. there might not be anything left to watch =p |

Hmmm, I use Aeris a lot back when I was playing FF7. Good thing that my cousin recorded all of the game's FMVs (he finished it first) and I saw Aeris being stabbed by Sephiroth. That prepared me for her death but that doesn't mean I didn't feel sad. But why did Aeris die... According to some article (an interview or something like that, I believe) I read a couple of years back, the death of Aeris is a vital point in the plot. When she died, her soul got mixed with the energy flowing on their world, helping it heal again (or something like that). It also creates a reason for Cloud and the party to pursue and defeat Sephiroth (and bringing her back will ruin that). A lot of fans had reacted negatively on her death but Square refused to change it in any way...and I'm glad they have. Good character deaths contributes to a good plot afterall. Hmmm...but some of you had already said that XD. But something just puzzles me...I don't see why they have to create that image of Aeris wearing a white dress in front of Highwind in one of the transition screens. It's just weird, like, they're making the players think they can bring back Aeris or something 0__o, And I can't defeat the Weapons (esp the one under the ocean) no matter how hard I try XD. I even used the Knights of the Round Table a couple of times and it still doesn't work. Oh well.

why did you do that? feeling the full emotion of that moment motivates you to hate sephiroth. i wanted to find sephiroth so badly that that i nearly got every secret and every mystery of the game finished.

| I never played FF7, but I know enough that I guess everyone liked the love tringle (I could be very wrong, my apologies if I am). In Advent Children, I guess thats just flashbacks or something. I understand that in the Japanese version of FF7, you could bring back Aeris, but that doesnt affect the storyline. |

nah, there's really a love triangle. no doubt about it! aeris was very much open to her feelings for cloud and tifa.. well, tifa showed signs of jealousy ^_^ from what i know, you can use gameshark or something to have aeris back in your party. but it really wont affect the story. updates!! final fantasy: advent children on dvd is to be released on september 14!(booyah my birth month!) i hope this'll be p-e-r-m-a-n-e-n-t. no more shifts please! |

| You guys were wondering how Aeris can come back at the end, right? All you have to do is get Vincent, one of the secret characters. I never finished the game yet, but I read it off of ign.com's cheat guide to FFVII. |

| Subjectively, Aeris died because she is trying to summon the ultimate healing magic or something with the white materia that her mom gave her. I'm guessing that maybe by summoning the healing magic all the healing powers of the planet would go to Aeris. Sephiroth wants that power for himself, that's the reason why he summoned the ultimate destructive magic, meteor, so that it will damage the planet and that he will absorb the healing powers of the planet and eventually world dominations.(typical) So, I'm just guessing that Sephiroth is greedy, so he stopped Aeris from summoning in the best way he knows how; to kill Aeris. |
