Can you upload your own request?? Thropugh a stroke of luck, I came accross the song I requested earlier in the Video Game Music area. It does have one vote, so someone else does want it. Is that allowed?

i had also uploaded a song. but i already had it and it wasnt in the requests or downloads and i registered it. is that okay? if so, do i need to remove it from being registered? 
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
