I've been thinking about getting my own copy of Dynasty Warriors 4 since my friend's willing to sell it to me for a cheap price. Problem is, I've never played Dynasty Warriors before and I tried looking at wikipedia for the storyline, but it doesn't offer any explanation whether there is a storyline difference between the sequels. I mean as though it was continuing the story or something. Can anyone help me on this? |

If the price is lower than $5-8 its probably ok They usually just replace maps/missions but some important battles in the Three Kingdoms History is there... Like the Yellow Turban Rebellion which gets a makeover with a new map and missions Story-wise... the basic plot is usually retained in the sequels... but some are of course... changed to fit the newer versions... DW5 seemed abit more accurate with the original plot though... (Some chracters like Lu Bu, Sun Jian and Sun Ce perished before the end of the Three Kingdoms Era...) and they fixed the Battle System by adding free control over which direction you are attacking (At DW4, you are stuck in one direction... when you are performing your combos and had to face an opponent in the back you have to cancel your combo to face him/her) ![]() Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

I like the Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires. If ya play it through, you can see the more than enough accurate distribution of the provinces. But for a true recollection, best bet would be to actually read the Romance of the Three Kingdoms Volumes one and two. Best book EVA!! Romance of the Three Kingdoms game is more tactical and has more accounts of history. So, if ya like the hands on third person 360 battling system, DW5 is best, if ya like the tactical and control of army type, ROTF would be best. XD ![]() |

Dynasty Warriors r one of those game u play to "kill people". Its a very easy action game from the concept of "u move the legends of chinese people in the 2nd century, and to conquer". But depending on difficulties it is acceptable as a hard game, and there is many things to unlock. The only disadvantage of this game is that u may find it boring very quickly. It is very repetitive, just walk into mass army and kill all oppositions. I find it a good game to relax from anything, and just want to play a easy game while chilling out to some music.

It's a great game! well, i love it bcoz I love the three kingdoms history. but i think the game is not too bad. easy to play, and in DW Empires you can do anything in your land(politic, maybe) but i suggest you the romance of the three kingdoms X, it's better. but the DW pictures are very cute :3 |

Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors replaced the old "Side-Scroller" Brawlers and Action games of the past... Koei's Modernization to a good old solid formula with nothing but pure mayhem... (God I miss Cadillacs and Dinosaurs...) ![]() Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

@ Lu bu: I thinking Cro Mag Rally. XD that was fun. Anyways, You should also read the book Volumes 1 and 2 of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. 120 Chapters and over 2,000 pages to read from. but quite knowledgeable and entertaining. XD ![]() |
