RIP Sega Dreamcast 1998-2007
|
|
Today (well yesterday in Japan, I guess), Trigger Heart came out and is officially the final game to be on Dreamcast. I heard it's based off an arcade or PC game. It scored a 6, 6, 6, 7 in Famitsu. RIP Dreamcast |

Hmmm.... It was a failure. It wasn't able to compete with PS1. Its death is unimportant to those who haddn't bothered to buy Dreamcast. It is a shame it has died. An Eva game was made only for the sega right? Oh well... RIP... -SinWeaver
OMG!!! THERE IS A SOS BRIGADE AT THE RP SECTION!!!!

I disagree, Dreamcast was the only sega product to ever win the battle (even if only for a moment) against nintendo, and while I am a deep rooted nintendo fan i really miss sega. R.I.P all sega systems, you gave mario a rival, we knew you well :( long story short, its sad to see the last sega system finaly put to rest

Saturn was a pretty good success over in Japan. Genesis beat Super Nintendo. Dreamcast initially had a great run but the anticipation of PS2 waiters just had too much patience after hearing PS2 had DVD playback and backwards compatability. I know a DVD player for DC came out in Japan for a limited of time and all that stuff. Dreamcast had a great classic line up of killer ap games Shenmue Shenmue 2 Fighting Vipers 2 Berserk House of the Dead 2 Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Cannon Spike man and so much more. |

SEGA is no way in hell dead. They are still active making great games for arcades and other systems. They're still making Initial D, Sonic, and Virtua Fighter. I just wish they made more Shenmue. |

| For the PSO fans, the dreamcast server is finally being taken down in April I think (along with the Game Cube Server which you can play for free in March). I guess it really is the end of DC. |
