yea right now the bbs is still vulnerable to many types of malicious code, eventually i will install advanced filters but that is very far down on my todo list. im looking into using oracle for my databases instead of perl's built in dbm hash. oracle is faster and i will have infinite space (which is good because the board is already taking up about a meg!!!) this project will take a while because sql is a bitch in its self, and its even more of a bitch to implement in perl. quite probably i will find some alternative, like get a mysql account or convince my sysadmin to install oracle libraries into PHP.
