Well, I've got collections of JPop and JRock music. But if your talking about Anison (anime music), you could go for some of Yoko Kanno's songs, especially the ones that feature vocals by Maaya Sakamoto. If you like songs that are just plain rockin' and full of energy you could go for JAM Project songs. They feature vocals from some of the best seiyuu and anison singers like Kageyama Hironobu (of Dragonball Z fame), Rika Matsumoto (sang the theme from Pokemon and was the seiyuu for the main character), Hiroshi Kitadani (sang We Are! from One Piece), Masaaki Endou (sang the theme for Gaogaigar), Masami Okui (sang a lot of themes, the most recent I can remember is for Yugioh), Mizuki Ichiro (of Mazinger Z fame) and Yoshiki Fukuyama (singing voice for Basara in Macross 7). For JPop/Jrock, you can't go wrong with Do As Infinity (my favorite band). L'arc~en~ciel is great too. X Japan is classic, and Hamasaki Ayumi is so popular it hurts. |
