there have been a few people over the years who have challegned the spelling GENDOU. of course, we can find the official spelling on gainax's official website: http://www.gainax.co.jp/anime/eva/chara.html you will see the phonetic spelling gendoh. this is not a romanji translation, this is a phonetic translation. the katakana clearly reads ゲンドウ = ge-n-do-u. let anyone who challenges the spelling speak now or forever hold their peace. :D_

no complaints from me, katikana says "gendou"...so it's gendou. All hail the admin! We're not worthy to challenge the spelling of your name!

yeah, agree with the gendou. gendoh sounds rather English than Japanese...  |
