problem about codec or something else

Well my friend is the one who need the help anyways Well he downloaded this anime and it was like blahblahblah.mkv then he played it on Windows Media Player Classic then it shows this error :  Then he thought that he doesnt have that mpeg2 filter then he download this program but it didnt fix his problem please I need ur help..tell me what to do..I would appreciate it |

here's a tip for your friend: download and install CCCP. once installed, you won't have much problem playing mkv file and other file types that's is similar to mkv, including mp4 files. |

I don't like CCCP at all. He can try it, but I would suggest the K-Lite Codec Pack Standard. Have him uninstall Media Player Classic before he installs K-Lite as well. Also, keep in mind there is a big difference between Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. They are not even similar, so be careful when you say confusing things like 'He played it in Windows Media Player Classic'. |
