Throughout Gendou City, there are a lot of games to "fight" in, but it is imaginary fighting, there is no clear cut winner. But what if you could battle and actually have consequences and therfore rewards for your smart moves, efforts, and choice of skills/stats? Like in a real game? This is my little dream on this RP forum, to have a thread where you can actually bring an RP fight as close as it can be to a real game and with the anime theme, actually bring the factor of consequence to an RP. It would be the closest an RP could get to an action anime like Naruto! What it requires ithough, is a RP fight engine, one I am trying to perfect, and it will resemble something of an RP mini-game with RPG-like stats, choices, turns, etc. This may sound confusing, but it would basically be a realistic RP fight, where your decisions have consequences and there will be a clear cut winner and loser, and you could choose your skils and so forth! What this opens the possibilities to are true alliances, betrayals, training sessions, tournaments with champions, and above all realistic battles with exciting post by post action! However, with all the planning, there will still be bugs, but I want to test out and perfect the system so that we can have no bugs. I need other Gendou members who are interested to get involved and help me test things out! I'm also bringing this to Tokyo Online, where some of our old freinds live now, they seem down, and some day, we can take it to them and have an RP fight with them there! Don't worry, this is all freindly, there won't be anything like spamming, hacking, flaming, or the like; I even asked the Atakasuki of T.O. to focus on me and this RP fighting and not on attacking Gendou, it's more fun this way, anyhow! Until I bring the system, I just want to know who wants to get involved in this "mini-game" beforehand! |

Anyone can help! I've never played RP maker, but this is a rough sketch of how mine will look: Everyone has pre-registerd stats, like HP, MP, Str, Agi, etc. There is a balance system in place so your stats aren't unlimited and go crazy, and they all affect the fighting in actually very easy to understand ways. There is a turn based system too, and to prevent cheating you CANNNOT edit your posts, ever, so you have ot be very careful about what you choose to do. Skills/magic will have a numerical balance system, so it's a lot like an RPG, and you can counter abilities and so forth. All the skills, though, are not pre-registered, they are made up by you, the only thing under control is the numerical system behind it, so you can't say stuff like, "I create a beam of destruction that wipes you out in one hit!". You would have to actually "play" and use/make up useful legal skills. I want it to be simple as possible while still having strategy and customizable characters/stats/skills for each of us, while preventing people from godding. I hope Johnathon and Engineer will come too, they are smart and RP a lot too! |

Wow, that's cool...I'll definitely support this. By the way, are you referring to a system that uses notepad? Because I'm a member of an RPG site that uses a script system that can randomly tell what your character does. Bots2 --> this is the site I'm talking about, it's really a clever game ^_^ try to register and check out the fighting system and find things about it.  |
