Overrated Anime: Must give reason

Now we all know anime is good. But not all of it is good. I mean come on saying all anime is good is like saying all american cartoons or all american shows are good. So I thought it'd be fun to post animes you think get to much attention or heard was really good only to be disapointed when you watched it. And please give reasoning to why you thought the anime wasnt good. Ill start FF7: Advent Children Oh yeah I can only imagine how mad some people are right now. Im sorry but the story was just so bad. Anyone whos played FF7 knows what im talking about. The story of FF7 sucked you in and didnt let go until you beat the game in the 70-80 hours it took most people to beat. And then after several years or waiting we get a movie....and its just plain bad. Now dont get me wrong, FF7 had amazing CG and mind blowing fight scenes. And thats it. No character building, no real good dialog, nothing. In fact, the cutscene in KH2 with Tifa and Cloud was more interesting to me then anything in the movie. Its just good for watching some cool fights. And at what point and time did Sephiroth change his goals from becoming god to turning the planet into a ship to ride through space??? Well thats it for my ranting of something I think is high overrated. Id like to hear what other animes or movies people think get to much attention or were just plain bad. |

I don't think you can really say that, because there are huge differences in like all anime and comparing that to liking every American Cartoon (Amine) or American TV Show. Rman you're the second person to repeat my "overated" thread..hahaha it's Ok and I appreciate your well thought out answer and I'd like to debate it if you move it there! And remember people, every time you repeat a thread a fairy is killed by having its wings pulled off and then she's skinned alive. You guys don't want to kill pixies, do you? ...Yes? You're evil! |
