Anyone else seen gainaxs new series. I know its old for most people but since I cant get a copy of the original versions can anyone tell me if I should continue to watch it, or not. I liked the first disk and the next one comes out in september. A little tidbit of info, it was done by the people who did mahoromatic which is apparent in the secound episode (you can see mahoros dress in the wardrobe ideas for hikari). People who did stuff on FLCL + EVA helped work this anime as well. This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is interesting, and though I'm only getting started on it so far (like ep. 4 now?), it seems worth watching. I heard "it's ok" and comments similar to that, but for me, if I like an anime, I'll stick around it for a longer time.

| I've got disc 1, too. Seems heavy on fanservice and light on story. I'll probably get the other discs, though. Hikari is too cute! |

| From what I've seen this series is standard Gainax. As much as I loved Evangellion and Nadia, most of their series are full of gratuitous fan service and lots of combat. Not that that is a bad thing, they know their audience well and they cater to it. This Ugly yet Beautiful World is a good addition to the Gainax family as it likes to put a little of everything they are know for in the series. Now all me need is a giant robot or a mech and it will be perfect. |

| yeah...this anime is ok...seen it ages ago though...when I mean ages...it's probably like...compared to the amount of anime that I have watched since that time...which is alot at this moment in time...but yeah... |

It's official, I now declare Hikari and Ikari are my top anime girls at this time. They will join the ranks of such memorable girls such as asuka langley soryu, rei ayanami, mahoro ando, lucy, nana, yuna miyama, and kurumi. Japanese girls love Darth Vader...... |

i've only seen whats been put up on anime network ondemand, which, unfortunately was only the first episode. i really want to see the rest of the series, it looks so good and the artwork in it is incredible. i hope they put it back up soon! *-_-*
