Serial Experiment Lain Questions

I have just finished watching the anime Serial Experiment Lain, and @_@ was it ever mind-blowing. First thing First if u haven't watched this anime then stop reading and go watch the anime ^_^ cause i'll be talkin about the ending too. Well ok i think i get most of the story and all, like Lain is a program that was created for the purpose of connecting the real world and Wired. And the fact that all memory is merely a record, and that if u don't remember it then it never happened. Questions: 1. How is Earth connected so that she has control over it. 2. How exactly can Lain do a reset to the real world? 3. When she did a reset, Arisu's hair was black, was it just cause lain was able to change that and felt like it???. 4. a) In the very end u see Lain in the real world and her meeting Arisu again, so how is she able to make herself seen and why? Didn't she want all memories of her erased? or does it not matter anymore since it shouldn't affect ppl anymore? b) if she can make herself visible again why not just make a life for herself again in the real world, she seemed to like living in the real world. 5. If she erased all memories of herself from everyone then shouldn't she not exist anymore? i quote "if u don't remember it then it never happened" so if no one remembers her at all then she shouldn't exist. 6. Did she in the end decide to forever watch the human race as an observer? If anyone can answer any of these questions then i am very grateful, and if u have a question you can post it for others to answer as well. |

ummm i think the 1st question is that she has the computer that her dad gave her and that she uses it too much that she can hack into tons of stuff and that made another person of her in the net....i think sorry i can only answer one.....i havent really finished the series is just need the last 4 eps to go.. |

It's been licensed for a looong time now. 2 - she's the god of the wired! The wired and the real world intersects and the lines between them can blur which means she can exert influence on both sides. 3 - she's the god of the wired! She can do anything she damn well feels like doing! 4 - All she did was erase the memories pertaining to her in everyone. It didn't mean she became a ghost. She became something better and more powerful - the god of the wired! That meeting between them was for her alone. it's just to show that she misses her friendship with Alice and that she will always be watching over her forever - which means don't mess with Alice! 5 - That line isn't literal. It means that if something isn't remembered, then even if it had happened, it is as good as if it never happened at all. 6 - looks like it.

Ive watched the series 3 times and still dont get half the stuff. But..... It still is my 2nd favorite anime of all time. sorry I cant help you but im still confused about it  |

1. Earth and wired is connected, because of the law of causality. You see, when you press your keyboard, you make something happens in wired. Therefor, anything happens in wired, it'll apply to real world as well. 2. To the real world, the wired is just a bunch of data. Why not the other way around to the wired as well? The difference is that in real world we have enough power to reset wired. Why not enough power in wired reset real world? 3. Oh, cmon. Colour is just a combination of RGB or CMYK. Lain should have no problem. 4. a+b) She's the god of wired. She can do anything. The problem is whether she wants it or not. 5. Existence is a realtivity. As for truth. We don't know the real truth. It's just a perception. So is existence. Existence means becoming a separate entity and being able to interact with other entity. Being forgotten that we were here, doesn't mean we weren't here. Now, if I post on gendou.com then gendou got pissed and deleted my post, does that mean I never have posted? To you, yes. To me, no. If I were to forgot that I've posted on gendou.com, that means noone including myself, know that I've posted. Therefor, to everyone, it seems as if I have never posted. But is that the reality? 6. I think yes and that's why you can answer question #4b. What the f***k am I writing? Am I sane? Kurutterukai? oshiete!
